My Spectrum password was changed and now I cannot get direct access to TB. For some reason TB is not linking up with Spectrum password. I get a popup panel saying "Login to server Mail.TWC.Com with username jomar159@hvc.rr.com failed" Retry Enter New password Cancel I have 2 accounts on TB 1 is wmarks1 and the other is jomar159@hvc.rr.com HELP

Hello, Attached are the messages I have been receiving ever since 6 October 2025. I've tried to read about fixing these myself, to no avail. (I mean, I can Read; I just can't fix this.) I've tried to Compact ALL folders individually. But that seemed to do nothing. (Before 6 October, the Thunderbird window would at least "flicker" a little after compact.) Trash is empty. Tried disabling McAfee AntiVirus & Firewall. And, no, this isn't happening because I'm using McAfee; I've been using McAfee since Windows XP and Thunderbird since before it "broke away" from Mozilla. They have, until 6 October, played nice together. I really like Thunderbird so I do not want to find another email client/program/what-have-you. There are LOTS of saved emails that I cannot move/copy to "save space", so...Help? Please?

P.S.-I am not computer illiterate. But, slow, easy to follow, non-BIOS changing, step by step directions would be preferred.

This is the second time I've posted about this. I've tried everything and the problem is getting worse. Thunderbird is deleting messages from my inbox when I retrieve messages from the server. All my settings indicate this should not be happening, but it is. I use the IMAP interface and the latest version of Thunderbird.

This morning after I downloaded messages Thunderbird showed no messages in any of my folders, not even archived! What the heck is going on and how can I solve this? I will have to stop using Thunderbird unless I get this resolved -- and fast.

Kindly assist as i have been having challenges accessing my folders e.g Inbox and sent item box from my thunderbird. Additionally, the icons for add a new account have since disappeared

Starting yesterday, cannot send E mils messages. Mediacom, my Internet provider says it is a server problem with E mail provider. Message started a "abusive practice- SMTP failure then changed to ESMTP after following provider's tech advice and emptied all JUNK. Now Monday AM---same situation---receiving E mail but cannot reply---will not send. Thank you Vic

Hi, I recently set up TB with one imap account. All fine. I set up a Local Folder as well - mainly to store bulk of old mails.

Then after couple of days, when I sent a message, the system warned me: "your message was sent, but a copy could not be placed in "Sent" folder" due to network or file access issues. Place a copy in local folder instead?"

I recognized, that also, while my account/server seems to connect, no emails at all are fetched from the server actually.

I think there's a strange problem TB internally with ... file access? How to repair?

UPDATE : I checked my TB profile folder, and found the "ImapMail" folder's properties (Win10) showed "read-only". So I closed TB, removed the "read-only" from folder and contents, and restarted TB. But issue persisted. I went back to "ImapMail" folder in my profile - and found it marked "read-only" again. So seems TB itself set it to "read-only", it seems.

• run in safe mode: nothing chnaged
• repaired folders: nothing chnaged

Hi!

I can't get messages from my Thunderbird account. When I click "Get messages" nothing happens and it usually says "Done" on the bottom left corner. I have to use my domain's webmail account to get my e-mail and it only allows me to read it and delete junk.

I really would love to have my Thunderbird account working again as soon as possible.

I have been trying to filter out and delete emails with certain URLs in the HTML section of the body of the message.

I can get the Body filter to activate and delete the email if I send the specified URL within a simple text message. So the Body filter can activate on sequences in the text part of a multimode or simple text email.

It doesn't, however, seem to activate for the thing I truly need, which is to see a URL (or other sequence) in the HTML part of a multimode. It appears to ignore the HTML section.

Would it be possible to either:

1) allow the current Body filter to scan all parts of a multimode message? OR

2) create a new filter, perhaps named Rawbody, or Raw, etc., which doesn't break down and separate the parts of a multimode first, but simply does a raw scan of the entire body: text, HTML, and all?

Thunderbird Email - I am not receiving emails from my energy supplier (E.ON Next) - they say they bouncing. This started around Jan 25. I have spoken to them many time but no joy. E.ON receive emails I have sent to them and I am able to receive emails from just about anyone else eg shop, banks, contacts, etc etc . Can you help me fix this/explain why it is happening? I have had Mozilla Thunderbird for many years and used it daily. Now you are writing to me that you want to close my mail program because I haven't used it for 2 years.

I have 2 email addresses linked to Mozilla Thunderbird: kurtj1942@hotmail.com and kurtj1942@gmail.com. I can receive emails from the Hotmail account, but I cannot send. From the Gmail account, I can both send and receive. Why can't I send from the Hotmail account?

Why do my new e-mails suddenly go immediately into my "Archive" folder and I have to transfer them to my InBox in the last few days? New e-mails have always gone into my InBox...until the last few days.

I seem to recall that in the past I was able to change my "From" email address to another one for a 1-time use. Either I forgot how to do that or that option is no longer available. Can you tell me how to do it? I want to use an address that cannot be tracked for some emails (xx@duck.com). Thanks.

I cannot download e-mail from Mozilla Thunderbird. It says "Done" in the lower left corner and will not download when I hit the Get Messages key in the upper right corner. Please help me to be able to download my email.

I have two Gmail email addresses. One is used for important messages. As of last Thursday I am not receiving some emails sent to this account. I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. If I need to delete Thunderbird I will but hope not.

This pop message appeared about 4 hours ago. I still cannot recieved email. Do you know why and how long it before the system is working again.
