When I boot up or go from one web page to another I get this annoying pop up asking for the password to my "Software Security Device". How do I stop it or turn it off.

You must have setup a master password, the article below should help you make it stop appearing.

Are you using Firefox Sync?

In that case you will have to enter the Master Password if you have set one as is recommended.
