Who chooses the little icons to the left of a website?
On both the "Search or Enter Address" field and on the Bookmarks list, to the left of website names, there are tiny icons. How can I choose one for my own site?

Those are site icons or "favicons" and you create them and save them on your site, at the top (root) level of your webspace, under the name favicon.ico. The .ico format isn't supported by all image programs, so you might need a converter. I saw some in a quick search: https://www.google.com/search?q=favicons
