CAN I MERGE INTERNET FAVORITES INTO FIREFOX FAVORITES, RATHER THAN THEM BEING SEPARATE?

I have imported my Internet Explorer favorites into Firefox . I have some problems: [1] I have a lot of favorites - the last few days, I can only view about a third of the imported IE favorites - the list then stops on Firefox - can I expand the number of imported favorites listed on Firefox? [2]It is much faster for me to scroll through the favorites on IE that I can on Firefox - any way to speed up scrolling in Firefox?

I think Firefox is superior in all ways to IE except for the way it displays/handles favorites; if Firefox can improve favorites, then I think that it would be superior to IE! tHANKS, gARY

As a way to use a single set of favorites/bookmarks, you might try this add-on, which shows your IE Favorites on a menu inside Firefox: PlainOldFavorites :: Add-ons for Firefox.

Does it give good performance? If not, we can return to the question of how to get a full import and maybe improve Firefox's own Bookmarks menu performance, but these would be maintained separately.

Actually, I'll probably go offline soon, so to answer the part about an incomplete import, you might need to do an manual export-import. The steps for that are described in this thread: Only 1/3rd of my bookmarks imported from IE. How do I move the rest?.

I added your suggested add-on, and it has merged the favorites successfully. I notice that when I go to the Firefox tab, and click on the Organize Favorites tab - I can scroll through the favorites very fast, like in Internet Explorer. But when I scroll through the regular Firefox favorites tab - it goes very slow. Is there any way to speed up the scrolling through the Favorites [as it does in Internet Explorer]? Thanks, Gary
