tried all that and didn't work. finally went to just answer paid for help. We had to go into my library and to internet plugins and see if i had a plugin there. Did not have one so had to go into my time capsule back to were i had a quicktime plugin in my library and add it to my current library. then reboot system and that put the plugin for quicktime back in the add-on manager for firefox and then could run quicktime videos. One of the cleaning programs I run must of removed it from my library.

The "Installing or updating QuickTime" link it has "Go to the Apple QuickTime download webpage" and you can download QuickTime and when QuickTime is installed, QuickTime's browser plugin is enabled by default and should work in Firefox. You can disable or enable the browser plugin in the Firefox Add-ons Manager.

anyway i am glad you solve it

thanks again
