Firefox updated but didn't reload all my tabs
My session crashed and got a message to say that Firefox had been updated...now on 158. However, none of my (many) tabs and pinned tabs opened. - 'Restore previous session' is greyed out - Session restore in Settings is configured that Firefox is my default browser, and 'Open previous tabs and windows' box is ticked. The last time Firefox updated, I spent hours going through History to find tabs and since some were older than 6 months, took me hours! Is this my only option...again! If it is, I may have to switch to a different browser. Thanks.

Before digging through History, check whether Firefox still has its previous session files. Type about:profiles in the address bar and open your profile folder, then look in sessionstore-backups for recovery files. Don't clear history, reset Firefox, or overwrite the profile yet. If those files are still there, you may be able to recover the tabs without reopening them individually.
Thanks Malcolmparked. I did follow your guidance but when I looked in the folder and saw a bunch of folder/file names, I knew I was neither technically competent nor confident in knowing what to do with them...thank you so much for taking the time to help and sorry I'm unable to give it a try. Think I'll have to do the same as last time...painstaking!!
If you made a copy of those files, you can follow this guide to put an older version back: How to restore a browsing session from backup
