Firefox frequently fails to unload when I exit it and it 'stalls' frequently. how do i fix this
I am frequently getting the message, "Not Responding" and getting my browser to completely lock up. I have noticed that when i close Firefox if often doesn't unload so when i start it again it says "already running". I am on Win7 and have noted a significant systgem slowing lately. I went to Mozilla and redownloaded Firefox but it hasn't helped much. I did just download a JAVA upgrade as well but Firefox doesn't use JAVA

Did you uninstall FF completely and deleted Mozilla folder and then reinstalled FF to see what happened?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
