In previous versions I was able to change the size of the icons on the address bar to a smaller size, reducing the size of the address bar. Was this feature removed? Or am i just blind? I find feature this very useful, as I have a laptop with a small 14" 1024 x 768 screen.

The solution above also solved a number of problems for me. For example :- a) I was able to restore icon size and add description. b) I was able to reposition forward and back buttons. I personally hate them at the end of the address bar. c) Able to restore stop button

Yes. You can install Classic Theme Restorer, and then the option will be available when right-clicking an empty area of the tab bar and choosing Customize.

Alternatively, you can install a complete theme with small buttons.

Exactly what i wanted. Thank you :)
