Hi crashy3000, it looks like you run Windows 7. What have you tried so far in the ways of troubleshooting? This article has numerous suggestions: Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly).
As an immediate step, could you try disabling Firefox's use of hardware graphics acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches with various display drivers.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
That may resolve some issues but isn't a cure-all.
thanks jscher
right after posting i found a few postings which said the same thing (and you were the one who suggested it!). i turned off HA right afterwards and its been almost 2 days with no crashes yet.
