I type in "gm" and it shows up with my gmail link as well as any other sites I visit that start with "gm", but when I click on the gmail web address from the drop down list, nothing happens or it redirects to a google search for gm. It only happens with gmail and twitter so far. Any idea how to fix this?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:

Hi hakmacpace,

I'd try starting Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.

You could also try Creating a new profile.

Hopefully this helps!
