Solución elegida

Google changed the login from

www.google.com/accounts

to

accounts.google.com

Solution: Open up toolbar.js with a decent editor.

Find: www.google.com/accounts

and replace ALL with: accounts.google.com

Restart FF 6.

Login through the toolbar. Enjoy.

Thank you so much MsMary. I followed your instructions to the letter after searching many forums without success and it worked. Before finding your info, I rolled back from FF7 to FF3.6 to try and resolve but had the same problem. Do you think I should go back (or forward) again to FF7 and try the same? I really dont want to mess things up again now its working!!

Many many thanks for this.Easy to follow instructions for a novice like me . Glad i can now access my bookmarks.:)

MsMary, you are a gem! After a couple of frustrating weeks it finally dawned on me that the version of FF I was using was wasn't going to function no matter, no way with Google's Toolbar. So... I downgraded to an earlier ver. (3.6.24)I had the Gmarks extension installed and thought it a little redundant and uninstalled it. As soon as I did, the bookmarks on the Google Toolbar stopped working, and I couldn't sign in. I said some words you wouldn't hear in a Sunday School.

With no little trepidation, I followed your concise instructions, and we're back in business!! I honestly can't understand why Google is being so hard-nosed about this other than they want people to use Chrome, which I just didn't "get" at all, and it surely doesn't have all the niceties of Mozilla's FF extensions. Just my opinion.

Thanks for taking the time to help the rest of us!
