Recently firefox started highlighting the background color in search boxes/fields (ie. google) in a light blue color and I cannot see what I'm typing in the field. Please help. Thanks.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
