If I hit the bkspc key and accidentially miss it, the "Quick Find" pops up at bottom of screen. How do I get rid of it?

When surfing pages I use bkspc to got to previous pg. In FF v4.0 if I miss the bkspc key the "Quick Find" pops up at bottom of browser and takes control of cursor, really annoying! How do I disable the Quick Find, which I never use?
