Cannot send to mailing list

Since recent Thunderbird update 45.6.0 I cannot send to mailing list. When I select a mailing list Thunderbird is creating a single contact with the same name as the mailing list with an invalid email address. Getting this message

bbgolf <"Bunker Buddies"> is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail.

The email address it creates is "Bunker Buddies"

Solución elegida

Please check to see if there now a contact with bbgolf <"Bunker Buddies"> in one of your Address books, like the Collected Addresses. If there is, delete it and try again.
