How do I disable STARTLLS?

Zenos replied

When I try to send e-mails, I get the following error message:- "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Unable to establish a secure link with Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.ntlworld.com using STARTTLS since it doesn't advertise that feature. Switch off STARTTLS for that server or contact your service provider." Any thoughts how I 'switch off STARTTLS'?

It's in the SMTP settings. Open Account Settings, go down to the last account, named "Outgoing Server (SMTP)". There you can select the offending SMTP set-up and edit it.

Look for "Connection Security" which is a drop-down. You probably need "None".
