Adding a Google shared private calendar (view only) is crashing Thunderbird! Fix?

Here's my scenario: I have a user who gave private access to a google calendar with view only (busy no details). When I add this user calendar (by creating a new calendar, Google calendar), it is crashing the Thunderbird. The steps are: Create new calendar on the network Google calendar select the user's calendar. All are working fine except this user's (first in the list of the enclosed jpeg file).

From the moment I add this user's calendar, Thunderbird goes into "not responding" and I literally had to quickly unsubscribe this user calendar after a reboot.

I totally like that I have all emails and calendars in one program, but this is frustrating.

What's the fix?

Thanks / Andy
