address bar glitch

When i type a web address or search into the address/search bar it's glitchy. Hard to explain but you can only see bits of the letters you type. I've attached a screenshot to show what I'm talking about, I typed in www.skysports.com and you can only see the bottom of the letters 'y' and 'p'. I tried resetting Firefox and also deleted all of the add-ons and this still hasn't fixed the problem.

And help would be appreciated.

hi, please try the following: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named gfx.direct2d.use1_1. double-click it and change its value to false.
