Get recurring error message about password, incoming mail doesn't work
Starting 2 or weeks ago, I began getting this message regularly: "Sending of password for user stevefrandzel@bellsouth.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: internal server error (#IS6532)" and then I can't get my email downloaded from the server. I've deleted and re-input the password many times. Sometimes it starts to work, but never reliably. This had never happened before.
Thanks

Same problem here. I had assumed it was a Thunderbird problem, I was wrong. I thought it was just a coincidence when Gmail stopped working when I first signed on with my new iPad. Just after that email fail I still needed email checked so went to my Win8 laptop and got the same error message "insecure app".
I just tried it with a new install of Windows Outlook email and get the same error. I log into Gmail using the browser it works. I then indicate to Google that that was me that they were flagging as "UNKNOWN" and they suggest I use a more secure "Google" ap. Even though I stated that it was me they institute a two week policy of blocking that IP address...which is me.
Well our problems don't actually seem similar, but I problems begain about 2 weeks ago. I still have to use the Firefox browser to get into my Gmail.
