re missing Profile i ignorantly trashed the Old Firefox Data folder ps is there a way to respond to a post w/o the 10 minute log in process?

i posted re a missing profile error message Fred Mc responded by asking if I had an 'Old Firefox Data Folder' on my desktop. Yes, I did and I ignorantly trashed it when I got rid of all the FF files and folders thinking I could resolve the missing Profile problem by reinstalling FF. Again,I am VERY ignorant of computer language and structure. I need a VERY SIMPLE explanation for resolving this missing profile problem PLEASE!

Also, is there any way to reply to answer to my re my problem post, without having to go through a 10 minute log in procedure and having and clicking on one link after another to get to where I can reply to the answer post

Have you emptied the recycle bin? If not the profile can still be recovered.

I don't fully understand what you mean. Are you having trouble logging in? (Most of us never log out from forum sites.) Or were you trying to fine one of your posts? Go to Mozilla support, then, at the top of the page, press the arrow next to your user name.

Also, the alert e-mail that tells you someone made a post has links in it to return you to that post.
