I have searched the help to increase the size of the opening page fonts in - email subjects and account names. I am using the most recent update of Thunderbird. Per what I saw in the help I went to layouts.css.devPixelsPerPx and changed -1.0 to 1.2. Closed the config editor and returned to email - no change. I shut down Thunderbird and opened it again - still no change in the font size. I reset the setting in Config Editor and tried 1.25 - still no change. Tried -1.25 still no change. Each time when I go back to this setting in config editor - the number has been changed - but does nothing to change the font.

None of the font settings in Preferences have any effect on the opening page of Thunderbird.

I have some visual impairment and need these fonts larger. There has to be a way to do it. At one time these fonts were larger. There must be a way to change these - and why it is not easily built in to Preferences is terrible - and makes Thunderbird useless to those with minor visually impairment.

I need help in resolving this - there has to be a way.

I have Thunderbird installed on my laptop. The sent messages appear correctly in the sent folder on my laptop, but when I go to my other devices, they aren't there. I can get all my inbox messages on each device (phone and desktop), but not the sent messages. I checked the settings, and they all seem to follow the correct IMAP protocols from my email service provider (Sonic.net). Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks!

All my devices are using Mac OS 11.6.5 or newer.

The use of a separate filter set for each Thunderbird account can be a major pain for some users. I have 32 email accounts (some of them disposable) in a number of domains for a large number of purposes. Sometimes several accounts need the same filter, so when I add a filter I add it to the dominant account, and then have to copy that filter set to the other 31 accounts. I suggest adding an option that would use the same filter set (the one for the dominant account makes the most sense) to be used for every account, eliminating the need to copy filters.

Document composed in WORD uses info form several sources. Single space text in WORD document becomes double space in TBIRD. I didn't used to have this problem so either Tbird or WORD update made a change that caused this. Has turned a 5 minute job into 30 minutes to hunt how to fix or retype text and insert tables.

Thunderbird's email editor can't remove some formatting

1. When I want to remove formatting of some text such as from text that was pasted in or was in a message I am replying to, I frequently find that "Remove all text styles" fails to remove anything and "Discontinue text styles" also fails in some situations. The drop-down for Body Type and Font just revert to what they were. So something that is "Preformat" and font: "Times" just goes back to those choices. Trying to change the formatting using those drop downs also fails. It is very frustrating. I know there is "Paste without formatting" and I use it frequently but that isn't always a good solution.

2. Sometimes the bullet-list won't let you stop the list, hitting Enter on the last blank bullet doesn't always end the list and just keeps adding bullets.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years now and those and other editor problems never seem to get fixed. Are there work-arounds for editor problems? Is anyone working on improving the editor?

Messages with the different subject are grouped in one thread

The subject line for one was " Fw: Important Document(s) from Store's" & "Signing complete: 123 Main ST Residential Lease Contract & Pet Ag". One email came from a store email. The other came from docusign.

The only thing they did have in common was that inside the message from Store it mentions "Main St.", but not the full address.

I tried to move one email to another folder, and both emails get moved. My end result is that I need to put the store email under my "VENDORS File", and the other under "SIGNED CONTRACTS File"

Also, I keep missing emails because it keeps putting them in weird threads like this.

I have set "mail.thread_without_re" to false already. I just need to file emails to correct file.

Please & thank you for your help!

When deleting an email from inbox, proton mail deletes that email. When moving an email from inbox to local folders, proton mail fails to delete that email. The following is from proton mail support: When you delete a message in Thunderbird, the message will be moved to the Trash folder on the ProtonMail account, this means the message is not permanently deleted, only moved to the Trash folder, and this works.

In the case of moving a message to a local folder, Thunderbird will attempt to permanently delete the message from the source folder (Inbox in your case), and since this is not a supported feature in ProtonMail, the message is retained in the All Mail folder only.

ProtonMail might support permanently deleting messages from folders in the future, however, at the moment we are not able to provide a timeline for when this might happen.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have about 9 emails linked with this program.

Last week on one of the accounts about 98% of all my email is going into the junk folder.

In all my accounts, even if I mark it as not junk, they still go to junk

It would be nice if you could update the program to: if you mark an email not junk, or it is junk, the email is saved into your contacts folder or maybe a master folder and when email comes into the program it checks that email as sees it is marked as not junk and goes into the inbox. Something if it is junk goes to the junk folder. Maybe one little upgrade, you can set a sound file to an email address if you need to know if something was highly important that just came in.

Otherwise it is a good program.

I tried send later, send now, restarted Thunderbird - nothing works. Have you seen this problem before?

I had my email connected a week ago until I reached out to support about a certificate error. I don't get many important emails, so I didn't notice till today that I was not connected to the server. When I clicked on any folder, "The IMAP server imap.mail.com does not seem to support encrypted passwords. if you just set up this account, please try changing to 'Normal Password' as the 'Authentication method' in the 'Account Set..."

So I did this.

Following the message I saw said something like, "these folders do not exist on the server." And instantly, all of my 50+ folders were gone. Is there some way to recover these? I have not, as of yet, closed Thunderbird.

If I have to load from backup, I will be ok to do so, but I would love it if I could avoid that somehow. Also, how do I prevent this from happening again once I do a load from backup?
