Windows Security- select a certificate

Each time I try to send an email it tells me to select a certificate for Authentication. Each time I do this if I select any of the options and hit okay it does not work.… (read more)

Each time I try to send an email it tells me to select a certificate for Authentication. Each time I do this if I select any of the options and hit okay it does not work. But if I just hit cancel it sends the message I'm not sure how to get this error message to stop popping up or just go away all together or what the issue is in the first place.

I had a crash in Kubuntu 22.04 with Thunderbird (up to date 115, German language). I set a Master password for Thunderbird. I installed then Kubuntu and Thunderbird again and Thunderbird without Master Password. I have a backup of the private email key (*-secret.asc exported from Thunderbird!), but it is not possible to import the private key. All I get is „Failure File can not be imported“. What is the problem and how to solve it? I did new installations (without master password) before and it worked. It’s a really big big problem for the email system if the (Backup) keys can not be imported after crashes or new installation of the system.

I am receiving the following message: The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving message. Mail server.comcast.net responded: Message 9 expunged.

The message number does change each time I try to download my messages. Thanks for any help. Rob

I have imported contacts from BT mail into Thunderbird but when I compose an email message I have to go to the address book / contact list, choose the address and click on "add to To" rather than the address being added automatically as it does in BT Mail. Is this how Thunderbird works?

Can one have Thunderbird with the following privacy rights? • Erase my Personal Data now and in future; • Cease the processing of my Personal Data from the moment it begins; • Restrict the processing of my Personal Data from the moment it begins; • Do not sell or transfer otherwise my Personal Data to any third party at any time, including Amazon, for example. Is there a way to have Thunderbird and one's privacy rights respected? Perhaps installing Thunderbird without its email function? Please advise. I would have no objection to the entire Thunderbird array of apparently wonderful parts should what reads in its Privacy terms document as fast and loose personal data collection and flinging about -- with all due respect to all of you otherwise.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64bit) on Linux Mint.

Yesterday, I performed a complete reformat and upgrade to the latest version of Mint and I've been struggling to read emails in Thunderbird ever since. The text in the emails I receive is absolutely tiny - I'd say it was almost impressively small if it weren't so infuriating.

I've included a screenshot example of what I'm talking about. Note the size of the subject line at the top to see the disparity.

I've scoured the support pages and carefully followed the instructions given, but the aside from increasing the font of the program itself, there is no change in the text size of the messages themselves.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

One of my 3 emails is not downloading after not being on computer for 2 months.Other 2 work fine. On settings for that account the syn in the menu is not showing? Shows on the other two. On start up it downloaded messages but they don't show? Several had some malware that my antimalware took care of. Messaged downlload just fine on my phone for that account.

I have been a Thunderbird user since the beginning of Thunderbird. A couple weeks ago replies to e-mails started showing up under the original e-mail instead of just appearing chronologically as they have always done in the past. I cannot determine what I did to cause his to happen after all these years, but i want to change back to the normal chronological e-mail listing regardless of an e-mail's relationship to other mails! My primary email is with Comcast (aka Xfinity)

A short while ago, even though I was successfully receiving emails, I am unable to send emails from that account. I've verified my SMTP settings, and nothing has changed in any of my account configurations. The only way I am able to send or respond to emails is by using Comcast's webmail interface.

I've been happy with Thunderbird for many, many years, but am very frustrated. I'd appreciate any assistance.
