I visit the nbcnews.com web site frequently. For the past +/- 48 hours, I have been having issues. I can open the home page and scroll from top to bottom just fine. However when I now double-clcik to open a specific article, that article page opens for about one second and is then immediately replaced with a page that says "Something Went Wrong. Access to NBC News is temporarily unavailable. The problem will be resolved as soon as possible." This happens on whatever article I select. It also happens on 2 separate computers.

I e-mailed support at NBC News. Their response was "we cannot duplicate this behavior." They suggested I try another browser. I do not use anything other than Firefox, but I found an old installed copy of Internet Explorer from... 2015. IE opened the NBC News main page and all of the sub-pages just fine.

My Firefox just updated to version 115.30.0esr X64 within the past several days. I am not certain if the NBC News issue happened as a result of that update or not. Has anyone else experienced similar difficulties with this web site or as a result of this latest update?

Hello, I'm writing here since I lost hope in Microsoft's support. I've seen some other people having the same issue from like July, this problem however started with me around the end of August. Every time I try to log into my hotmail I get the screen attached. The only way to get around it is to delete the cookies/cache related to Live.com and try again. Also, right now, I have to "sign out" from my email to avoid saving cookies or cache related to my login information - otherwise, I will have to do the process again (of deleting the cache/cookies). The thing is, I've always used Firefox to check my hotmail, and I wouldn't log out of my hotmail and check back in quickly any time I want to - the process now is getting sluggish. I've contacted Microsoft (or let's just say, tried to) but I kept going in loops and never got an answer. So I'm here in hope I get any ideas (and I have a feeling that it is something from Microsoft's side and not from Firefox side because the problem occurred suddenly and not after a specific update to Firefox).

Dear colleagues, please tell me what could be the reason why the Google AI Studio is not displaying correctly. The buttons are invisible, the fonts are stretched, and it's generally impossible to work (see the attached screenshot). Please refrain from giving advice like "update Windows to a newer version," as this is an old computer (its motherboard was manufactured in 2007), but it still opens most websites fine. I don't currently have access to a newer computer with Windows 10.

I'm not sure if I picked the right topic but am guessing my problem would fall under settings. The last few days I am having a problem replying to emails; when I go to click "send" to reply I get an error and it says failed to send. The only way to send a reply back is to compose a new email with my reply in it; send works every time if I do it that way. Hoping someone has the answer to why this is happening because I have no clue where to start.

have no idea what this topic falls under but getting the update browser error code 99,999 again after restarting the damn computer when it just froze while I went out for 15mins I am updated so have no clue what to do

wish sending a question or replying to the email was easy but even that is b/s also this deny person claims bug fixed but obviously not

Will i still be able to use the browser - just with less security? I will probably have to give up using a computer if I cant continue with Windows 7 so I'd even be prepared to pay an annual fee to keep the support going. I've been a long time supporter of Firefox and it's taken me a few years get all the bugs out of Win 7 so I'm not going to repeat that on Win X. My Win7_64 water cooled platform is overclocked, stable, and just as fast as most affordable new chipsets from Intel. I have third party security apps and firewall. I'm not downgrading to Windows X whatever later version that is and I'm considering other browser options, if anybody has ideas?

Although I'm on the ESR channel, I've been using User Agent Switcher for a while, which seems to work well on most sites. I also notice DuckDuckgo browser claims to support Win 7. I will miss Firefox, but switching to a Win7 supported browser would be my first option, then Linux if I have to dump Windows 7 for something else.

Developers will moan and say switch to Win X with the favorite phrase 'Upgrade' when my experience has been the opposite, but what do others feel who are using older versions of Windows?

I am taking a course on Coursera, and while the video lessons are viewable on my W10 box running Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit), on my W7 box running Firefox 115.27.0esr (64-bit) the Coursera page, after briefly displaying the lesson's home page, which includes the normal video playback window, reports "This page encountered an error." I have contacted Coursera, to no avail, and now seek advice from you all. I suppose I can not return on my W7 box to the normal Firefox non-esr releases, but was something changed therein of late that would cause this? It all worked well in July, but now won't work at all. Chase bank has recently put a front end check that blocks all users with Windows 7 ,8 ,8.1. They have a page that says the browsers need to be changed to ones supported, yet they ignore the version of the browser "Firefox Setup 115.31.0esr.exe" which Mozilla updates monthly for security fixes. Thus they are effectively forcing anyone that bought a computer from 10/22/2009 to 01/10/2023 14 years.

I would like to know the number of users that are using the Firefox Setup 115.31.0esr release so that I can make Chase aware of how many home users they are impacting with this front end block to logging into Chase for our checking, savings, credit cards and mortgages. With some actual numbers they may reverse this problem by simply removing the front end check of windows version before allowing user login.

Without some idea of the potential number of users being blocked from access, they may just continue to ignore us.

And now that Windows 10 is not longer a supported version of Windows, will that be next. Steven Hudson [edited email from community support forum]

Hi, I have to use Firefox 115.18.0esr (64-bit) due to depending on accessibility tools I need.

I am now finding that websites based on the Discourse Forum will not support this version of Firefox so I was wondering if anyone knows of an FF fork that might work.

I had family over at weekend and ironically none of their Apple devices could access such forums either, not on their iPhone or their iPad.

I tried to contact Discourse but of course their own site depends on the latest version of their awful forum software too.

I think that it is shocking for any website or app or other service to just cut loose disabled, elderly and those in developed countries who depend on old software.

I am still on Win7 as that is the only platform that runs the tools I depend on.

One member of my family was talking about running an Oracle Linux server in the Cloud (wherever that is) and running virtual machines (whatever they are) to allow me to run old and new, but they said that might take months to setup and could not even be certain it would work.

I find it ironic how website are designed to not lose a single user through bad design and they they cut of thousands with this archaic policy.

So I am here to ask if there is a workaround, either a fork that works with these sites or a hack of 115.18.0esr (64-bit) that makes it report that it is V142.04 or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

a web site continues to say mozilla browser need update to correctly access web page. I have downloaded latest update ESR for Firebox (using windows 7 OS) But web site still says I need update! Is it me or the web site that has the problem?

Hi, I have an old PC with Win7 and Firefox 115.30.0esr (64-bit) (latest version from 11 november 25) and this website cultuursmakers.be has problems aka differences with Firefox 141.0.3 (of my Android tablet) and other browsers such as Chrome. The green heading block overlaps and hide the upper part of the content block. For example, if you select inloggen (log in), then you see that the user name (naam) is not visible and only the box for the password is shown. Work around: Right click on the header and select Inspect. In the Inspector (html column) select the header tag. In the Inspector (css column) uncheck in the '.header.--fixed' selector the line 'position: fixed;' Now the content block shifts down and all content is visible. Can you verify / fix that? Firefox don't let me uninstall it cause it doesn't have the option to uninstall it at all.

Is there a way to completely uninstall only the adobe plugin???
