I like when I open a bookmark, that I am not forced to view it right away. This can be VERY annoying when opening multiple bookmarks but I want to stay on my current one without having to switch back to the one I was using. I would like an option added at least to have bookmarks in that automatically switch to when opening. Please.

In Opera recaptcha never comes up yet n Firefox it does. I do not use anything google. I hate google with a passion, yet Firefox is forcing it on us. I use www.rewardscentral.com.au for a few things, I log in to this website every morning. With Firefox I have to click on the recaptcha crap every single time, yet with Opera web browser I don't. I came to Firefox for a more "secure"browser, and yet you allow google crap to take over, how is this so secure? Google is the worlds biggest scammer. Please, give us a way to remove it and block it. Even for my search engine I use Startpage for better security.

The user certificate works fine, but it's FRICKING INFURIATING that Firefox just keeps on asking for the certificate. The first time I go to a site that requires logging in using a user certificate, it pops up the same dialog 4 times in a row. Then if I switch to another tab and spend a couple of minutes there, restart Firefox or reload the tab that I logged in, it now asks for the certificate all over again!

How can I just god damn make Firefox remember what certificate I want it to use without it always asking for it? No, "Remember this decision" does not do that.

Hello there. Ever since the latest update (to 115.0.2), I've been experiences random crashes. It's only happening with these 2 sites: https://www.mapsofworld.com/ and https://www.buongiorno.sk/ (there may be more but I haven't discovered any others as of yet). I open the sites and FF immediately shuts down. And then, after I restart it, there are no crashes listed in the logs (about:crashes). I've tried everything. Cookies, cache, a "refresh", a fresh install and I've also checked my system and HDD for errors but nothing helped. Any idea what I should do? The problem seems to be on your side, not mine

Firstly, I have a brain injury. I am easily overwhelmed by information and am slow to understand - especially anything to do with I.T.

Recently, I began successfully accessing the internet / Firefox via my Wifi Repeater. As of two or three days ago. I keep being asked to "log in to access the Internet", but even after I do it (successfully, as far as my repeater is concerned) I'm no further forward; I keep being asked to log in.

Thanks to my repeater I have a strong signal when in my garden office. But after a month, Firefox has suddenly stopped allowing me to use it. I am back at Square 1, before I purchased the thing.

I need need to work from my office. Please help resume my Repeater's access.

Kind regards,

Sean

Undesired Bounce Back with macOS Keyboard Shortcut for 'Move Window to Right Side of Screen'

In macOS you can set up a global keyboard shortcut for the Move Window to Right Side of Screen command via System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.... In most apps that support the Move Window to... commands, this will simply move the window to the desired side of the screen when the key combo is pressed.

However, in Firefox the key combo will start the animation as normal but the window will then bounce back to its original location. It's only when the command is activated via a keyboard shortcut that it does the bounce back behavior, though; the command works as intended when activated from the Window menu in the menu bar or from Option + green button in the top left of the window.

The key combo I set up was Shift + Option + Command + Right Arrow, but I've also tried a couple of different key combos and they all did the same bounce back behavior. I've tried it on machines with different versions of macOS (Sonoma beta and Ventura) with the same result. The bounce back behavior also effects the Move Window to Left Side of Screen command.

FF 115.02 Win11

I fill in many repeated responses, such as DOB, zip code, etc. I was using Edge for a while and have forgotten the benefits of FF. Does it remember? Can I edit or delete the ones that are no longer relevant or have changed - age, for instance?

Thank you.

I am very happy with the upgraded Firefox library. It works great except for one feature. Maybe there is a setting for it that I have missed.

When I click on an item in my library to open it, it opens it over top of the right-most tab that I have open. That means I always have to be careful to have a blank tab open, otherwise I lose the last item I was viewing. Is there a setting, or can you add a setting, to have the library open links in a new tab, or if one prefers in the existing tab? I want to be able to open in new tabs.

I run a local web server from my desktop PC. As the person running it, I access it only from my desktop PC, and only my account has a password. (All other accounts must be created by me, and have very limited access.) When I log in, Firefox whinges that it's not running on https, which is not my fault, as I didn't write this server. I cannot change servers. How can I prevent Firefox whinging about my lack of a secure (despite being local only) connection?

About a week ago I started having trouble downloading large high resolution photo files. I have been downloading these files for work for over a year and they have always load very quick. I would click on the file and the entire photo file would be there instantly. However, for the past week these file do not download or download very slowly. I have checked internet speed, which is 310. I can also switch browsers and have no problem downloading the same files. So its not my computer and it not the internet, so something has changed with Firefox. Can you help?? I have used Firefox for over 20 years and don't want to change browsers, but I have to work and this downloading is a problem.

As I use Firefox throughout the day, webpages will just stop for a bit. Sometimes its only a few seconds, other times for a few minutes. It is most noticeable when playing videos but does happen at other times as well. During the halt, I can still access Firefox's settings and all menu items. It is just website interactions that stop.

For example, when a halt occurs on youtube, the video will eventually stop, depending on the buffer, and scrolling through the comments won't pull up any more and replies won't load. Then after a few moments, everything will start working again without issue, and all the uncompleted actions (such as opening new replies or trying to go to another page) will execute.

I used to think it was related to my computer's connection to our company's access server, but refreshing my connection through a CMD ipconfig /renewall worked so rarely that I assume it was just coincidental timing.

I also tried turning off hardware acceleration, but that had no positive effect. I'll make a separate post about that issue.

The thing that fixes it every time is odd: launching Chrome. I wanted to make sure it was just Firefox, so I tried launching Chrome, and then Firefox started working immediately. (Spotify still plays when Firefox halts too)

Is there anything I can adjust to keep this halting from happening? I can manage right now, but it is sort of annoying to launch Chrome every time.

When opening some PDF's using 115, some or all of the text appears to be random characters. I downgraded to 114 and opened the same PDF, and the issue occurred in the same way. Can't upload the PDF itself using this form, but I've Attached a screenshot of a PDF and you'll see that some text is normal while other text is not.

Helpful details: - Issue does not occur when opening files in Chrome and Adobe. - On 115, disabling "allow pages to choose their own font" setting does fix the issue. However, this is not a permanent workaround for me, as I need other websites to display text normally (without Firefox overriding). - Downgrading to 114 also fixed the issue. This leads me to suspect that v115 has a bug, or some other issue that is causing this text problem to occur with PDFs. - The PDFs are created in Salesforce.com, but since the issue only occurs on v115, it's unlikely that Salesforce is the cause of any issues.

In my job, I open a lot of PDFs, and having them open in separate tabs on Firefox is a huge part of my workflow. Salesforce works so terribly with Chrome so I am crossing fingers that we can get Firefox working again. Any help is greatly appreciated!
