Hi,

I'm having a bit of a delicate issue with syncing my logins to my other devices.

On my main PC I have 71 saved logins but on my iPhone and MacBook I only get 55 after syncing. It's a bit time consuming to figure out which ones I need to manually add to these devices.

I tried pressing the "Sync now" button multiple times on multiple devices but that doesn't work I'm afraid.

I'm also often not always sure when I save a login on 1 device it'll show up on my other devices

Is there anything I'm missing here or?

Thanks in advance, Robin

Hi,

Just to start I'm not super tech savvy but I'll try my best to explain this. I have Firefox on my iPhone XR and MacBook Air. Both devices are up to date and as of today, Firefox is up to date on both. I've never had a problem using the "send tab to device" feature from phone to laptop or laptop to phone. After updating Firefox on my phone, I now can send a tab from the phone to my laptop, but not from the laptop to the phone even though it says "sent". I've tried signing in and out of Firefox on both, deleting both devices from my account and adding them back again, making sure notifications are on...just from Googling those were the main things suggested but I'm still having the same problem.

The only thing I can think of is that since the phone update, there is now another device showing in the list of connected devices called "Firefox iOS 98, iPhone." In the first image I attached, the circled "Firefox on iPhone" is what my phone has always been, but now there's this new one too. Last one is my laptop. As far as I can tell, the top two are the same thing. I tried deleting one or the other though, and both completely signed me out of Firefox on my phone. When I signed back in, both were there again. I can't seem to have one without the other! The second pic is what it looks like when I try to send a tab from my laptop. As you can see, only the "Firefox on iPhone" is showing up. The only thing I can think of is that the tabs from my laptop are being sent to this new weird "Firefox ioS 98, iPhone" that I can't delete or get to show up when trying to send from my laptop. I have double checked and the browser on my phone still lists "Firefox on iPhone" as the correct one for my device.

Any ideas at all? As I said, I'm not super tech savvy but I've tried all the basic fixes and I just cannot figure out why this is happening unless there's a bug which I hope is the case because at least it's not just me. Any help at all would be so appreciated!

Thank you!! Caroline

I have split a single SVG image into parts and placed them in a single row of a CSS flexbox. The goal is to keep a constant height but allow the width to change. I can horizontally stretch parts certain parts of the image without causing aspect ratio issues while leaving the other parts constant.

The issue is that, specifically in firefox, a seam is visible between the adjacent SVG images:

https://i.imgur.com/DK8cz78.png

HTML:

CSS:

.gb-top-border{

 width: 70%;
 margin-left: auto;
 margin-right: auto;
 display: flex;
 flex-direction: row;

}

.gb-top-border-column-fix {

 flex: 0 0 auto;
 display: flex;

}

.gb-top-border-column-flex-1 {

 flex: 10 10 auto;
 display: flex;

}

.gb-top-border-column-flex-2 {

 flex: 5 5 auto;
 display: flex;
 min-width: 0;

}

.gb-img-vfill {

 width: 100%;
 max-height: 100px;

} .gb-img-top {

 max-height: 100px;

} Here is a live demo showing the flexbox with padding and without: https://codepen.io/ScottMastro/pen/mdpmwEyblondedata

I think this might be just an unavoidable feature of firefox so I've given thought to workarounds. If I can horizontally stretch the second and fourth segments of the image slightly beyond the boundary of their div containers, it will prevent a seam. I have not been able to come up with CSS capable of doing this.

I am unable to send a tab from my desktop Firefox to either my iPhone or iPad. It does however work in the other direction - mobile device to desktop.

I have checked settings and notifications and can see nothing wrong. Also tried logging out and back in again of my FF account.

I saw similar problems reported in the past but I haven't seen how to resolve it.

The Send Tab/Link to Device feature only works in one direction, from iOS to MacOS. iOS to iOS never receives, although the popup says it sent. I'm using Firefox 98 on MacOS and iOS. I have a Windows 10 PC which can't receive or send tabs/links as well but I'll limit it to the Apple devices for the moment.

Sync and notifications are enabled on Laptop, iPhone, and iPad. I've de-synced and re-synced each device separately and together. I've attempted to send between each device separately and all together.

Neither iOS device can receive tabs/links from one another, nor send to each other. Laptop can receive tabs/links from both iPhone and iPad, but not send to either.

Each time I re-sync an iOS device I get a notification on the Laptop saying that "this computer is now connected with Firefox iOS". But still nothing works.

I am running into a issue that's been plaguing for months now. After erasing some of the default multi-account containers on one my sync'd computers I am now dealing with, seemingly random container multiplication that I don't know how to make them stop.

As soon as this issue appears on one of my computers that issue propagates to the the other computers that are sync'd

Hello!

I was using this laptop for everything for a few years. Now I wanted to use this for work also. Previously all my bookmarks and logins were synced via a single email account. It was easy to use across all devices. Now since I want to use this for my work also, I decided to segregate my work stuff to a new windows account. So I created a new windows account. Obviously Firefox created a new profile and it was clean. No problems there.

So I wanted to use my original email for this new windows account and new firefox profile to sync across devices. So I created a new email, added it to my firefox account, made it the primary email then deleted my original email from that firefox account so that I can use it to sync firefox in my work user account.

But, Firefox is not allowing me to. There is no "signup" option for sync. Only "sign in". It continually asked me to sign in from my primary account, so I had to sign in from my primary account to make this post. Doesnt firefox offer 2 different "sync profiles" for the same device? Or Am I doing something wrong? Please help.

I have a new laptop and I go to log into my Firefox account in order to sync and the following happens:

1. Login screen pops up and I enter my primary email address and click Next 2. Asks for my password, so I enter my password and the screen changes. 3. Says an email has been sent to your email address with authentication code - PROBLEM: should be using the authenticator app. 4. I get an email and it says I have to authorize on my authenticator app so I try that but says code invalid. 5. I go into my account on my old laptop and remove 2-step authentication and try again. 6. On my new laptop, I try logging in again and it sends me the email with a code. 7. Enter the code and says invalid password and shows an old email address that has not been used for a few years. The email address does not appear in my Firefox account. My primary and backup email addresses use my current email addresses. 8. Unable to get it to authenticate using the right email address after it accepts my proper email and password.

Yes, password I use initially is correct as I can log in using it on my old laptop.

HELP!
