Certain images are never created or loaded in my browser. Youtube thumbnails, for example, display as only light grey squares. I thought maybe my addons might be causing this, but the only one that seems capable is uBlock Origin, and I even disabled it completely. Anyone know what could cause this? Surely its a caching issue or something. I can include images if anyones curious.

Problem with showing PDF from local disk

I have a problem with PDF showing.

If I take PDF generated by the lilypond and I open it from link like https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/uploads/f51162c65d5194db6dd3b4fb86fa4e42/bug.pdf, PDF looks well. If I open same PDF from disk by using link like file:///tmp/bug.pdf , PDF looks different (wrong). Some ledger lines missing.

I am running firefox 117.0 (64 bit) for Arch linux.

This is my second email to you....

I just switched to Firefox from Chrome, because Chrome was crashing all the time.

All I want to do is sync my computer, laptop, phone and Ipad's reading list. I want to be able to see an article on one device, add to the reading list, and have it on all devices.

I'm logged in under the same name on all, and it says sync is on, but the reading lists are different.

Can someone help me? My phone number is [removed phone# from public support forum], email is [removed email from public].

This morning i restarted firefox and it only opened 3 of the 4 windows i closed yesterday. I've just read about the limit of 3 windows reopened after closing, but now i can't restore the 4th one (it was the manin window with many tabs opened). In history i can't click on "Recently closed windows" and ctrl-shift-n doesn't work. I made a backup of my profile outside of the usual firefox folder. Is there something i can do to restore the 4th windows? I don't mind losing the other windows, but i need to recover the main one. I also tried this tool https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html but it doesn't seem to work with the files inside startupCache.

Hello:

I must use the magnifier that came with Windows or I cannot read the screen. All was fine until Firefox updated. Now, when I try to use the magnifier, Firefox and all the sites I am using freeze. The entire screen fades out, and an hour glass shows up. But nothing happens after that. I have to go to the task manager and close Firefox, then start it up again.

I checked for Windows updates and everything is current. I am using Windows 10.

How can I fix this?

I have Firefox installed on two PCs. I see the option to add "Recommended by Pocket" under Settings/Home, but on the other one I don't. Screen shots of both are attached. I have completely uninstalled, cleaned up all Firefox files and re-installed Firefox multiple times on the PC where I don't see the Pocket option but nothing changes. Also gone into about:config and tried making changes from there. I want the Pocket recommendations to show on the Firefox Home page for both PCs.

Hi I used to often use the Firefox Translations (by Mozilla Firefox) add-on to translate web pages in the browser. It was the one in the screen shot below. It was brilliant and a couple of days ago it disappeared off my screen. When I opened a French webpage there was no button at the top to translate and all I get now is the option to copy and paste 1000 characters into a box! I cannot find the original one - unless this has replaced it? In which case, not happy! The other was much better. Can anyone help me get the original again or recommend something similar? Thanks

I tried every solution posted and then I uninstalled and then wiped Firefox. Nothing helped. It seemed the picture would not sync or just freeze with the sound still playing. I came across an old post to change media.mediasource.enabled. Mine was already set on true. When I changed it to false it solved the problem.

117.0.1 Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu installed Total Adblock installed Enter URL "my.yahoo.com", the "My Portfolio" page comes up, the portfolio box presents a message: "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again." I went to Settings, Manage Exceptions, entered "https://my.yahoo.com" and clicked Add Exception. "https://my.yahoo.com" it appeared in the Website listing below. I clicked Save Changes. I retried the My.Yahoo tab again and the same error resulted. Where do I need to change what preferences, Yahoo or Total Adblock?

When typing in the URL search bar I'd like to see ONLY URLs I've visited previously, bookmarks and currently open tabs. If I want to search using a search engine, I'll happily type in the search engine bar. Instead, most of the dropdown candidates are search engine autocompletions, with just a few recommendations based on my search history. Why show any search engine autocompletions at all? It doesn't help me AT ALL but I frequently know there are many more than 3 possible completion candidates in my previous history - and yet I can't see them.

All of a sudden, Firefox stopped showing bookmarks toolbar and website address at top of the page; and it stopped showing taskbar at bottom of page. I've attached a screenshot to show what it looks like without these features.

If I scroll over the top of the page, the bookmarks toolbar and website address appear; but I would like them to show by default. And I haven't figured out how to show taskbar at bottom of page without exiting from Firefox.

How can I restore these features.

Hello all,

When I'm using my Firefox browser spell checking is working only with English language. Polish is my native language and I want use this function to Polish as well and set Polish as my default language. I tried to adding/removing other languages than Polish from options, setting higher priority to Polish language, how ever I have no result with that. Please help, will highly appreciate. I use Firefox on two computers, synced. Both computers are experiencing this issue. My browser will, at seemingly random intervals, refresh all tabs, which causes me often to lose my work on whatever I was doing. I have gone to about:config and turned off the auto-refresh preference, but the problem still persists. Please help, I don't want to switch to another browser but I will if this problem persists as it is QUITE frustrating.
