The Bookmarks Toolbar is showing up with a message to use it, even though I don't want to use it and have not added any bookmarks to it. This has shifted the actual screen down one line and messed up things I do that rely on screen positioning. Please turn it back off.

A website I use regularly has internal links that no longer work in regular mode. They used to work and still work in Troubleshooting Mode.

These links are imperative to using the webpage. I'm not sure what changed or why they work in troubleshoot mode, but I need to fix this right away. They also work on other browsers.

I'm trying restrict usage of fingerprinting for my browser. I've already checked some articles and resources, for example this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-protection-against-fingerprinting

Currently my setup is like this: - I set "Enhanced Tracking Protection" to "strict" - I set "privacy.resistFingerprinting" to "true" - I'm using uBlock Origin

But still when I visit https://amiunique.org/fp I'm getting the information that I'm unique. The worst performance is amongst: Headers attributes:

  • Content language: <0.01%

Javascript attributes:

  • User agent - 0.49%
  • Content language - 0.04%
  • Canvas - Unique (this is weird because I'm even getting a notification about blocked canvas, maybe it is a quirk of this website)
  • Screen height - 0.05%
  • Screen available Height - 0.07%
  • Media devices - Unique

Is it expected for Firefox to fail that test? By Firefox own marketing I expected that I'm protected from fingerprinting but in fact I'm not. And worst yet it isn't even turned on by default.

What can I do more to actually block fingerprinting? I tried Ghostery and Privacy Badger extensions but they didn't seem to help so I removed them.

Every single time I watch longer videos, but especially livestreams, it ends up clogging up to 8GB of ram and then starts buffering, and uses sometimes upwards of 60% CPU.

I've -tried updating graphics drivers, -opening safe mode and watching from there, -turning off all addons and restarting, -turning off hardware acceleration, -installing h264ify

I'm kind of out of ideas. I hate this, I just want to be able to watch youtube normally. Please help.

Hi. Firefox is my main browser and I use it also on my business corporate laptop under Win64bit. Only recently each time Firefox needs to install an update, a window pops up asking for permission of the admin (and I am not the admin), so I have to call the IT dpt and ask an admin to log in and give its authorization. The IT team told me that it's not a problem of the corporate firewall and it's up to Mozilla to set the update process so as to avoid asking a high level authorization. This problem is becoming very annoying, as the Firefox updates are usually very frequent. Can you do something to fix it? Thanks, kind regards Fabrizio Venice, Italy

Hello.

When performing a Google search in FF, it shows the website then the clickable blue link (which is standard) but, starting today (Tues), it also shows the website logo (to the left of the website).

Please answer each question separately:

Q1a. Is this a permanent change?

b. Is there a way to revert back to the 'original' layout (without the logo)?

  • The issue appears to be limited to FF only.

Thanks in advance.

Clicking on "open link in new tab" (by using a right click context menu) opens the new page in a new tab as well as in the original tab. The same behavior is exhibited in safe mode. This began with the penultimate update. Current version is 106.0.5 (64 bit}

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I accidentally downloaded Japanese version of Firefox and I've changed to English as the primary language. But for some reason, all of the windows for "open file" "attachments" is in Japanese. I have both languages in my mac but I have my primary language as English. I made sure by going over the settings, removing Japanese, restarting and going back to Firefox to see if it fixed the issue. I also removed Japanese as an alternative language on Firefox as well but nothing seems to fix the problem.

The attachment is what I see every time whenever I open a window in Firefox. No other program has this problem. I can still use the window in Japanese but it bothers me not knowing what is causing this issue.

I'm looking for my recent history, but the history page lists only "today," which is Nov. 8, but nothing else for November. The next tab is for October. What I'm looking for is not in "Recently closed tabs" either, but there is no date information there. I'm trying to document when I posted a request at a vendor's website, and don't see the vendor at all.

Thanks

bold text My FF web pages are way too wide and I have to scroll all the time from side to side, to see the whole page, back and forth! Hate it! Not workable. Not only that, the menu texts (not the fonts on the page) are way too small, unless I reduce the whole page with the limited percentage size, and then none of it is readable to me. For a while 67% size helped but not even that works right and I am CONSTANTLY trying to adjust things so I can see them! It used to work great and now it is a CONSTANT BATTLE TO FUNCTION!

I have tried to navigate to window using window keys, tried maximizing, and tried renaming xulstore.json (localstore.rdf does not exist). I tried reinstall - no change. I renamed the mozilla folder and reinstalled so now have a new version running correctly. I would really like to restore bookmarks and history (at least) from the old install. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ( windows 10 )
