Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. Occasionally when downloading files on Firefox, they'll freeze completely (often at the very end.) There is no way to pause or cancel the downloads, except to restart Firefox.

When I attempt to restart Firefox, it closes the browser window. However, when I try to reopen it, I get an error message stating that Firefox is running but not responding. The 'Close Firefox' option does nothing, except make the box pop back up a moment later.

I can't kill the Firefox process in Task Manager or Process Explorer, because it says access is denied. I can't kill it using taskkill in command prompt because it says there is no running instance of the task.

The ONLY thing that seems to help is completely restarting the computer, which is getting frustrating to do several times a day.

I can confirm Firefox is up-to-date. Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

I closed all my tabs and reopened the browser bc I was getting lag on sites like X.com when typing my messages. Immediately after opening Firefox again, my homepage, MSN.com was loaded. I tried to click on the arrow to scroll through the different headline stories and nothing happened. I used Chrome & Opera to load the same page and they work fine. This seems like a Firefox thing. I have no extensions or permissions that deny me the right to click on anything. What is the problem?

All of a sudden the Firefox password I've been using for a long time stopped working. I went through the reset process, set a new password, and it still doesn't work! What I am doing wrong? Keeps asking me to re-enter the password, and when I do, it says it's not correct. Is this a widespread known issue?

I get this message from Gmail when I try to print or open in a new tab.

"Grrr! A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window."

I can not find a way to fix this and did not have this problem with the previous version.

What happened to it? When it was deleted? Why? Is there a way to restore it?

As i said I want to disable the crtl + W shortcut but i cant find a way to do it. This shortcut makes my day a lot harder cos i sometimes press it by accident. It's annoying. Please help m e unbind/delete it :)

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this? I know someone has accessed my Firefox/Mozilla profile to gain information on my accounts, email, and other personal data. Is it possible to discover the IP addresses and locations for each sign-on or use of my profile? In short, is there a way to know when my Firefox was accessed?

When I login into some WEB site it goes in to an endless loop continues? It used to work before you forced the download of version of 0esr, when the old none 0esr worked fine. As a example: I am trying to login to xcelenergy.com site and it keeps flipping back and forth with these two lines ( parts of lines deleted because you might get into my account )in the address bar -

I have included the 2 of screen captures that it flip's through of maybe a another 2 screens (can not tell, it flips through to fast).

 Firefox version using now:      115.6.0esr (64-bit) or the 32bit Version, I tried both. Then load an old back version it works fine but then it gets upgrade to the new version again.
  my version of windows:         8.1, with all Firefox ad blockers and other ad blockers turned off or on does not matter. 
      The reason I will not upgrade my software is that I would have to buy a lot of new software upgrades that I use, and can  

not afford at this time on my retirement.

Every once in awhile i get a second Firefox icon pinned to my taskbar and also a second listing for firefox in my programs list. If i try and delete the extra version there is only one listed in the control panel. Has anyone else seen this? I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Dear Community,

I am trying to download a large file. Am on a course, and the main tutor has given the group a file to download. Have tried downloading this 5 times, but get little luck. The file that I would want to download is 8.5GB, and the furthest I get is about 4GB.

I have 2 questions about this.

1) I seem to have a very 'in and out internet connection. It seems to go down at times for no reason, cutting off the download. Is there anything I could do about this? How could I troubleshoot this, please? 2) Does anybody know of any special tools that I can use to download in a more efficient manner, please? Perhaps an extension for Firefox might be able to do this, perhaps? Kind Regards to Anyone Answering this Query, Marek

In "about:policies" there are 2 Active Policies: "DisableTelemetry", and "DisableDefaultBrowserAgent" Also, in "about:policies" I'm not sure if it's related, but there is a long list of policies there too.

Firefox has been my default browser for longer than I can remember. Over the years, I have maintained a significant bookmark file for work. I recently purchased a new computer, and my zero bookmarks from the new computer have replaced all of the bookmarks that I had in my old browser. This is a bookmark file that has successfully followed me through multiple computers and even my ios devices. And now it seems to be completely gone. I've looked at the places.sqlite files, and the largest one is 20MB and is in my current default profile, but it is dated today. That makes no sense because I do not have any bookmarks on this older computer, and my new computer doesn't have any either. The bookmarks have also been completely deleted from my iPad, but miraculously are still on my iPhone (evidently I had signed out of Firefox for iPhone at some point so they do exist somewhere.) The thought of trying to rebuild my bookmarks is nauseating. My only thought is to sign out of the browser on all devices, then sign back in and sync on the phone. Would that repopulate the main file with what's on my phone? Any other ideas?

Machine is Windows 10 with a Logitech wireless keyboard. Latest Firefox browser. Not always but sometimes when using Firefox browser to log in somewhere or enter data on some web site, I'll get an incorrect entry for a key stroke. e.g. I enter a 0 and get a 1. But if I enter a 1 I get a 1. So far the error key has always been different.

I've tested things by launching a notepad or Word document and entering the character and in those all works fine. But go back to Firefox and I get the error again. What I have to do is to close and re-launch Firefox and so far this fixes things. It's an intermittent problem which forces me to keep another browser on the machine and ready. Imagine entering a password when all of a sudden you type 'X' and it gives you an 'E'. Really frustrating!
