Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

Somehow I seem to have lost everything from my Yahoo pages. Sent, Archive, Deleted are all empty. There should be a mass of stuff in there. I was looking through Settings and may have accidentally clicked on something I shouldn't have. I was not intending to change anything. I guess I can't recover anything but I want to get it back as it was so whatever happens from now is saved in the right place.

What do I need to do to achieve this? You just can't guess the mass of stuff that has disappeared. A lot of it irreplaceable. Thanks in advance. Mike

I want to visit a unsecured web site (camping site). I notice these mom and pop websites are unsecured. How do I visit it. I'm a big boy and dint like to be told where i can visit. However, I don't mind a warning.

Browser want log to CBP.gov side after login and entering my password get refuse. Google Chrome dose this with no problem . But I dont want to change to Chrome I like Firefox but for now I am for to do so. Please help... Thanks Mark

I take this to be a best practice to not use more than one vpn at a time. Should those visiting and be given access to network be asked to turn off theirs if connected to same network setup? Should any extensions intended to sync favorites or 'read later' be turns off as well?

I often use Ctrl+T to open a new tab, type in something fast, and then press Enter. I'm currently using DuckDuckGo

Though when I press Enter (and I type very fast so all of this is maybe done within a second) the last few words or characters of what I typed is lost!

So please look into this and make it so that nothing is lost, even if you input characters and press enter very quickly.

I have met this issue twice. Before I retired my old PC, I did click the "sync now". However, when I login in Firefox in my new PC, I found the bookmarks are very very out of date. Because my old PC was formatted, I lost my latest bookmarks in Firefox.

Could you help with this?

I've been using firefox desktop pretty much since its inception. Despite numerous updates, for well over a year it has been auto scrolling when on facebook and I have tried every fix it to no avail (I'm highly computer literate and to me, this is now nuts). Note. My android mobile has never done it. I am at the end of my tether and am now looking at moving to another browser due to the frustration. I've gone through all the forums and note there are hundreds (if not thousands) of people with the same problem. Why can you not fix this and is there a fix? Trying to load .mil webpages (specific case in image) present an MNP error. For context; VPN on, connected to US server Same site tested in edge with VPN works. If anymore information is needed I can provide, thank you and happy holidays!

Space bar does not function on Huffpost comment section. Sometimes the whole page just jumps either to the top of the page or to the bottom, Weird. Another point, why does Firefox prompt a new update almost every second day. My PC is safe from Malware and my Firewall and paid for VPN is one of the 3 best available. So please don't tell me there could be another reason for this problem about the Space bar button. The Space bar functions perfectly on Windows 10 Edge as well. Even tried it temporarily on Vivaldi. Works fine there too. I moved over to Brave Browser and I have no problem there at all. Functions perfectly. Until Firefox fixes that problem, I have no need to use the Firefox Browser with it's constant annoying updates.

for some reason firefox decided it is fun to mess around with my browser and decided to prevent me from making saved logins,this is so frustrating why does firefox like to do this.

I wanted to adjust some system preferences after installing the new FF 100 OS. Found I can't, either by menu or by keyboard shortcut. How do I get my access back? Using Mac OS 10.13.6. Do I need to go back to previous FF 99 version?

Some of the websites I commonly use randomly changed fonts. Nothing was changed in the settings, this didn't happen to all the websites, most of them are like they were before. Any tips? Is it a bug in current version?

unable to use on Firefox: Bank of America, CapOne Visa, CostcoTravel.com, for starters...which setting is preventing this? So I have to use Chrome; pls save me from that. On CostcoTravel.com, the circle just spins...for hours--just trying to sign in, even with Enhanced OFF.

Hi I am running Firefox 103 on my lenovo thinkpad T570 running windows 10. Streaming any video (e.g. BBC iPlayer or GCN+ or any source I have tried) Video very choppy, freezes for several seconds while audio continues as normal. this is essentially unusable. Task manager shows firefox running at 70% or more I have tried all the power management settings and that makes no difference. The Nvidia Gforce940 appears not to be used at all. All my drivers are up to date I have tried firefox troubleshoot mode, which makes no difference full screen mode or not makes no difference (its a 4k screen so I wondered if it was doing some kind of upscaling) makes no difference whether I run on external monitor or internal. Also makes no difference whether the laptop is connected to my thunderbolt dock or not. I can run the same content side by side in Chrome. Chrome displays the video smoothly with no glitches at all and consumes around 16% CPU (still no Nvidia GPU utilisation)

This problem does not happen on my other PC, a 5 year old Intel NUC, with i5 cpu, also running win 10 connected to my TV.

If i can't fix this I will have to very reluctantly revert to Chrome for video streaming I havent worked uot how to obtain the troubleshooting info to share but happy to do this if necessary

I'm trying to make a new Firefox Account with an email address I have for school, but it keeps saying that it is invalid. I believe it is because the latter half, instead of being @gmail.com or whatever, is @port*********.org. I tried logging in with another email that had @gmail.com and it worked just fine.

What I'm really asking is: Is there a way around this or is this in vain?
