At home we have a shared computer with Ubuntu and Firefox as main browser. Each family member has its own Linux user.

We use the functionality of Firefox saving passwords, however we've noticed that these passwords are visible between the Linux users. So, for instance if two of us use the same website, somehow our user/pass get are visible to each other. Is this behavior expected? How can we set FF to make the user/pass visible only to the Linux user who is using it?

I keep getting notifications, supposedly from Mozilla and/or Microsoft on lower right of my screen, telling me the system is infected. How do i determine if these messages are valid, or a scam ? Turned computer off and back on--messages keep popping up.

Hi there! It started yesterday. I keep getting warning messages from Bitdefender that a connection Firefox was trying to establish was blocked. I will include a screenshot of the warning. I searched the link included in the warning and it comes up as a Firefox related link. I had six or seven of these warnings within the last 3 hours of using the computer and am concerned and irritated. Firefox is updated automatically on this computer and I think the last major change would have been the "cookie jar" thing(?). Obviously, the warning only says that the a certificate has expired. The page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ai-chatbot lacks the list of data shared with the chatbot AI providers. It would be nice to know how it is done, how to review the data, and how pages can provide better data.

I have a Logitech Streamcam that I have been having some problems with. I noticed that Firefox stopped working with my Webcam some time ago and I can't seem to figure out why.

My webcam works fine on Chrome and using the camera app on my desktop. I hooked the webcam up to my Macbook and was able to connect to it just fine, even using Firefox.

I tested my webcam using this website: https://webcamtests.com/check When I go there I get this error message: "Could not find a web camera, however there are other media devices (like speakers or microphones). Most likely, this means that your webcam is not working properly or your browser cannot access it."

When I try to have it forcibly start the camera it gives me this error message: "NotFoundError: The object can not be found here.; DOMException".

I tried clearing the cache, running Firefox in safe mode, clearing all privacy and security settings, and reinstalling Firefox but none of it help, I also tried clearing the cache and got the same result.

Windows security settings show Firefox last accessed my webcam on 2021-11-08 and there are no access requests from Firefox since then.

Any idea of whats going on or what troubleshooting I can do from here?

I signed up & paid for Mozilla Monitoring Premium. I get monthly reports from then, but when I click on "automatically delete data from brokers," I'm asked to sign up for Premium again. Please help.

Hello, can someone please tell me how I can access https://localhost:6000/ in Firefox as I need to access this address for the OctoPrint software so I can configure it.

All the articles I have read about going into the about:config and adding the port number do not work for me.

So can someone please help me with this and point me in the direction of a working article I can use?

I am using version 130.0 (64bit) of Firefox.

Recently when I try to download a file Firefox seems to give it a random amount of time before it attempts to open the file. For small files this isn't a problem, as it always seems to give at least a few seconds, but larger files get cut off. This leaves the file corrupted/incomplete.

I have no idea why is started doing this. Just one day it started opening everything I downloaded, be it PDF, image etc when complete. I turned this off and it has stopped for things that download properly, but it's still doing this 'cut off' attempt to open.

So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

I have "Don't enable HTTPS-Only Mode" selected and still cannot connect to local sites. Example http://192.168.1.81 is chnaged to https://192.168.1.81 and rrecive cannot connect message.

This problem started after you last week after an update.

What should be my response to these messages? Dismiss closes the particular message, but it is immediately replaced with another similar one. I have no idea what the xxxx.mergenetworkprotocol is or how to use it. It is real or a phishing scam? Is it safe to simply tell Firefox to hide it?

While waiting on my Bank website to load (was very slow) why did Waiting on www.facebook.com show at the bottom the whole time? I did a screen shot.

How can I completely block Facebook from accessing my system through firefox?
