The Firefox display of Comcast mail has been quite good for many years. However, possibly after an update, the display of Comcast Mail has missing items, failure to update some, and just a very messed display that cannot be relied on. Tried the same mail account on Edge and it is perfect. Do I stay with Edge or can my Firefox account be fixed?

Hello,

I keep getting the following error message when trying to access some of my usual websites e.g Foxtel, Woolworths:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.foxtel.com.au/distauth/UI/Login?" on this server.

Reference #18.98464868.1671499840.1080e795

This started in the last few days and can't understand why now. I do have Nortons installed but this has never caused a problem before.

Hope you can help, thanks, Phil

Lastpass has had major data breaches in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, and two in 2022.

Today I got a recommendation to install LastPass. I was a bit surprised. LP (logmein, gotomypc) has a history of databreaches. I found reports in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, and two in 2022.

People without a lock on the door know they have no security. Putting on a lock that is not effective only gives people a false sense of security and may even increase the threat.

I love many of the add-ons. I know I can't rely on anyone to make sure they are all secure, but I hope such well-publicized problems will result in a review.

The billions lost and hundreds of hours spent by people each year with passwords in our fight with hackers is a true drain and a danger. Password programs have been the only way for individuals to survive. Their standards for security must be even higher than others. LastPass has not met the standard for a high level of security...or even a low level.]

LastPass has one reason for existing--keeping our passwords safe and secure. In the light of their failure, it's time to stop recommending them. It undermines the credibility of Mozilla and Firefox.

I have a dozen old embedded device modules (circa 2003) which can host a web page. When I access the device through my local intranet (192.168.0.xxx), the web page displays correctly. However, when the same page is accessed through my DNS service (xxx.gotdns.org:xxxx) over the web, the Firefox INSPECT:network tool indicates that the document is type:text and displays the HTML in a text format. The first line of the HTML document is :<!DOCTYPE html>.....

These devices are non-secure information-only devices, but at least Firefox allows for HTTP: exceptions.

However, I cannot understand why Firefox treats the same content differently depending on the path. Is there a way to force Firefox to actually look at the contents of the packet and treat it accordingly?

While installing a new phone, my firefox account got messed up and the recovery codes I had saved earlier don't work. So, the only way is to create a new e-mail address, just for syncing purposes, but now the account won't add other equipment, phone etc. there seems to be confusion as to which account to use. Most of the time it ask for the old account, and changing to the new account results in PW unknown (even though this was correctly recorded). Logging into the account to get mail from scratch is possible, but any referred login fails (i.e., I tried to get Moz VPN to work, but it asked for the old e-mail address, and changing it to the new address gives PW failure). On top of that, the authenticator doesn't generate 6 digit codes but 8, so that route can't be used either.

Hope someone can advise how to escape this mess.

Hello all,

There are a number of threads on this topic asking how to sync Shortcuts from one device to another. It appears that across the board the answer is that you cannot do this (see: this, this, this, this, or this to identify just a few).

It does appear to be the case that you can copy `browser.newtabpage.pinned` from `about:config` but this cannot be transferred to iPadOS, iOS, or easily shared between Android and macOS. It also does not update long term.

There have also been requests for this feature to be added (see this) though a lot of content around this topic appears to be confused as to what to call it and is notated within other recommendations.

I am wondering if anyone from the Mozilla/Firefox team can speak as to why this setting is not available, and what would be needed to see it become possible to sync shortcuts (and ```especially``` pinned shortcuts) within Firefox Sync.

Thank you!

When I set up my computer, I have been using chrome for my work email and systems, and firefox for my personal email, for years now. This year I have found repeatedly that firefox will claim to have lost internet connection (ON A HARDWIRED COMPUTER) repeatedly during the day. And sometimes I will open a new tab to do a google search--and get a blank tab. Chrome works like a charm. No problems, ever. I have had IT work on this problem with me 5 times this fall (I'm in biological science). We have updated all the software and drivers, checked the computer's memory, checked the computer's upload and download speed, updated the docking station and replaced the wires. And Chrome works fine all the while. I think you have a problem, folks. I might have to ditch you.
