Win 7 Starter -- FF17 I enter F11 and the screen sort-of goes full-screen. The title bar remains -- and does not update when going from tab to tab -- so I'm guessing that it is a cosmetic bug associated with the release of 17.

I use multiple tabs in 1 or 2 windows, and SOME of the pages have continuously updated information in some areas. Apparently Firefox is set to SWITCH FOCUS from whatever I am looking at to whichever page/tab has a fresh update. This causes no end of grief, as I may be in the middle of reading a sentence, or scrolling to find a particular item in a page, or responding in a text field, and all of a sudden my display bounces to an page that is unrelated to what I am doing. Unacceptable. I note, in addition, that this is a problem EVEN IF I ONLY HAVE ONE PAGE/TAB/WINDOW open, in that it can bounce me from where I am looking to where I haven't asked to look, and this can happen EVEN WHEN I AM HOLDING DOWN THE LMB WHILE CONTROLLING SCROLLING TO FIND SOMETHING ON THE CURRENT PAGE.

None of these behaviors make sense, and all interrupt browsing, rendering it annoying to completely ineffective. The correct way to handle continuous updating of browser information is to ONLY shift to a new location when the user is NOT actively controlling the current activity on the current display, either by using navigation commands such as scrolling, or by active input to the screen.

Does Firefox currently have a way for me to STOP the automatic re-display of updating pages?

I am using v12.0. (I note that I do NOT recall this being a huge problem until I upgraded from a much-earlier version.)

Firefox History bookmarks keep cloning! Every time I click on one, the next time the same one is duplicated. I am using a Mac (OSX 5.8) Nothing I tried (Help community) works. Is there an easy solution? Someone please say yes!

I have had to revert to Firefox 12 because if I use Firefox 17 I cannot sign into eBay. Page says "not responding" I have always had all the new updates up to version 17, but obviously, if I can't sign into eBay there is no point in having version 17.

even thought its a real word and spelled correctly i want to be highlighted if i type it.

I'm using the standard English(united states) dictionary.

i also have low technical skill.

i meant to type "dog" but i actually typed "dong" and it lead to some embarrassment , i want it to remove it as a standard word from my spellchecker , Ive got a few I'm thinking of removing , as a just in case kind of thing.

Firefox 18.0 beta, but also happened with 17 and lower:

CMD+, (command-comma) causes web page to zoom out instead of display Preferences. How to reset? What's going on here--and how can I stop it?

I am trying to to figure how to select multiple items (email addresses) using firefox on a mac. I use a web based manage my business. I am trying to send emails to multiple people.

I have tried clicking on the first email and hold the command key while selecting the others. The selection just jumps.

I tried holding the shift key and and it selects everything between the 1st and 2nd email address I want to use.

I also tried the control key which just brings up a menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using windows 7 ultimate. I am on the latest firefox release. When I want to print, the drop down window opens with "fax" listed. I scroll down to my printer, I click on it, but immediately reverts to the "fax" option. It will not hold my printer.

I recently changed to a wide screen monitor, hoping to use it to view multiple windows at one time. Now, however, the windows are just really wide. I tried to change the window size, but then I just ended up having to use a horizontal scroll bar-- which is really inconvenient for me. So, can I change the window settings so they just don't fill my whole screen? I'm not super computer savvy. Thanks for helping!

I have a habit of keeping all my often used apps on the taskbar and keeping the desktop clean save a few folders contained overly organized shortcuts/shortcuts to hard drives for all downloads,rar extractions, general workspace and pretty pictures and this minor thing is bugging the crap out of me.

I basically want to pin the command line shortcut with its different icon to the taskbar in addition to the normal one because I use firefox so frequently I don't want to right click,go through the tools or have it on the desktop eating away at my soul! Single click from taskbar a must :)

I know its possible somehow but I don't have the first clue on what to do. If anyone else has a similar compulsion and has figured it out pretty please hold my hand through this.

The title says it all

I'm on a chatsite and as I go to copy paste instead of keeping the 'logs' in this nice line by line base, where each time a person speaks they have their own line, it meshs it together in a giant paragraph. At first i thought this was MS Word, then i tried just copy pasting from FireFox to fireFox and it still didn't work. Chrome, IE, Opera, and safari can all copy paste the lines and keep them in lines on this particular website.

I'm in a bind here because it's my job to save 'logs' here and I cannot do that well if i have to go through and start each line just so it's easy to read.

I want to monitor the downstream to my computer cause it's going up suddenly. I tried to use Web Historian but it doesn't work with firefox 5 and up.

I answer emails based on my priority. Sorting unread emails to the top helped me to remember to deal with all unread emails, however old. I opened Firefox this morning and that easy sort facility has been removed. Why? I have unread emails going back a month or two. How do I easily find them now? Also I sorted on the star on the right. That has been removed as well. Why? Keith
