i would like to set it so that when i put my mouse on the top of the full screen, it doesnt exit full screen. when i hover my mouse at the top, the browser tabs appear. i need to stay in full screen. please is there a setting to stop this from happening? is there a setting to make the full screen stay on until i use my keyboard?

(context: i play a browser game, agar.io, in full screen, and when im trying to go up my cursor is no longer in the game and i temporarily lose control when that bar appears. also the game window distractingly resizes itself to fit the bar. i just transferred from opera and i dont want to have to get used to this happening, even if maybe for someone who doesnt game its useful)

I am using Firefox's translate feature to translate websites so what I need to know now is how to set Firefox translate Feature to immediately and automatically translate the web pages I visit every day without me having to tell it to every time.

Occasionally I select a bookmark in my menu bar that has become orphaned. Once on the page, I select the "Blue Star" and then try to remove the bookmark for that page to no avail. The bookmark remains even after shutting down and restarting Firefox (sync is off). Moreover, there are some bookmarks for which the "Remove Bookmark" option is not available after selecting the Blue Star.

I know that I can delete unwanted bookmarks using the Bookmark Manager but that method is time consuming when it comes to unknown, orphaned bookmarks that one stumbles upon from time to time. The aforementioned technique for removing these orphaned bookmarks is quicker assuming it worked.

Perhaps the Blue Star could remain filled in once a page is saved and subsequently returned too. Should one wish to remove the bookmark one need only return to the page and deselect the filled in Blue Star thus returning it to its outlined form while also removing the bookmark from ones menu.

Thoughts?

When I go to Settings Firefox shows that it is the default browser and there isn't an option for changing it to not being the default browser for Windows, Google, and other items that I save to my Documents.

May 4, 2023 Both of my Yubikeys no longer work to access Paypal & Vanguard through Firefox. They stopped working on April 27, 2023. Before that date, they worked on Firefox. They work when going through Chrome. I hope Firefox can correct this problem.

When I go to the url https://ping.com/en-us/clubs and hit the pull down for clubs it does nothing. I have enhanced tracking off. It also says protections dashboard 28 blocked. I am unable to use clubs, bags pld putters pull downs. I am using custom setting cookies, tracking, cryptominers, fingerprinters. It must be a setting and I am unable to solve my problem. If I use Brave browser my pull downs for the clubs etc works fine. I am also using the duck duck go extension in my firefox 112.0.1. Do you have any ideas? Thank you

I want to be able to type accented characters while I'm using a mail tool in Firefox. I searched and found the Office/Word method, but that doesn't work in FF. When I searched this site for "type accent," nothing was found.

I don't need a special language pack, I'm still typing in English. I just want a way to insert an accented character now and then.

Why i am getting this error despite this website is operational through CHROME

I want to do a refresh of my firefox profile for it was overwriten with another profile or it was combined with another profile. So how can I start from scratch without my current profile been overwritten by what is stored on the cloud.

HI, I read the UK Mail Online Newspaper but this has just recently blocked readers who use an ad blocker. I have even tried disabling adblock plus but it still will not allow you to read articles.

Whenever I open a link in a new tab from a pinned tab (using ctl-click "open in new tab" or cmd+clicking) it switches to that tab, even with "switch to new tab immediately" disabled. I would like it to just open the new tab and not switch to it, but I can't find any option in the settings or about:config that would change it. Is there any way to do this?

I have read through some of the past similar issues with passwords not syncing across devices and the only official answer I seem to find from the Firefox team is to "manually or force sync"...

However that does not work. I have just saved a new login on my mobile, I have manually synced or "sync now" on both my mobile and desktop, restarted both devices and still...this login does NOT appear on my Desktop.

So please help! For all I know there could be other logins saved on my mobile that don't appear on my desktop and vice versa.

I do not want to uninstall Firefox.

Your browser is a bit unusual...

Try disabling ad blockers and other extensions, enabling javascript, using a different web browser or turning off your VPN.

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I've seen mentioned over several years and without a workable solution - I'm at the point of having to transfer all my browser usage to chrome and abandon my beloved firefox. The issue has been 'answered' by advanced users to tell people to 'inspect' which font is the issue then check local systems font book for corrupted/duplicate fonts: however this is not a satisfactory response. Context: see screen shot attached for what the jibberish looks like, and a point in the 'inspect' view that I believe (guessing) is involved. System: Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), MacOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) on Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020, 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). This same websites do not have any issue on the same computer viewed on Chrome or Safari. Nor is there any problem on my iPhone on the iOS firefox browser.

Firstly this is not a user-friendly solution for most people, I'm afraid. Opening the inspect viewer is mindboggling for anyone who doesn't code and even for people who do some programming but not for websites (like me), it isn't exactly self-explanatory. I think I've managing to find examples that indicate 'Roboto' seems to be consistently involved in the display issue. Secondly, the step for 'fixing' the font that is the culprit - my local system indicates that all fonts are valid and there are no duplicates. I haven't installed manually Roboto as I'm uncertain where to 'safely' get the font from and my computer is owned and managed by my workplace - with overly strict administration/security rules so if I f-up a download of something dodgy my IT service will blacklist me and revoke my admin access... ** which would mean I'd be unable to do my job!**. I wondered if perhaps there is some security setting due to that, which stops website from loading the fonts they choose? From previous 'solutions' it said that having Firefox preference set to "allow websites to choose their own fonts..." should mean the websites can load as needed. If indeed I must manually download fonts for each and every instance that Firefox fails to display text legibly that is equivalent to Firefox being unusable. I'm clearly frustrated and it's because I love FIrefox and the ethos behind it all so leaving for Chrome would be very sad indeed! Help and a solution for normal users would be so very much appreciated. Also where can I properly lodge this issue with peeps who fix things? There are issues of this kind going back years and for both Windows and Mac Systems so it's not a one-off problem but a recurring one! I have a new HP Pavilion 24 AiO PC. I want to transfer all of my browser settings, most visited sites and history from my old PC to this new PC within Firefox. Can I just Copy/Paste these settings from my old PC to the new one?

Whenever you start typing a certain website name in the address bar, Firefox suggests and option to auto-fill the address based on what you've typed. My issue with that is that auto-fill keeps suggesting the address that I DON'T want it to. Specifically, I want "ya" to auto-fill to "ya.ru", instead it keeps suggesting "yandex.com.ge". Now, I have tried deleting all the history of ever going to "yandex.com.ge" as well as just ignoring the issue and typing out the full "ya.ru" by myself and giving Firefox some time to catch onto this, however after a couple of weeks nothing's changed. What's interesting is that when I type "ya" in the address bar, Firefox shows the following (in order): the wrong auto-fill suggestion ("yandex.com.ge"), some search suggestions (yahoo, yandex, yahoo mail, etc), then after the search suggestions there is a separator that says "Firefox suggests" and what do you think, the CORRECT auto-fill that I want is first right in there - "ya.ru". So Firefox actually knows that I want it, since it's the first thing in "Firefox suggests", but why can I not get it as a default auto-fill suggestion?
