Sorry: I incorrectly marked this problemsent Aug 5 as solved, but it isn't My book marks folder has a complete duplicate copy immediately following the original. I tried deleting individual entries from each copy but they also deleted in the other copy. I've attached two Print Screens. Original copy appears to be under Bk Mks Toolbar - See PrintScreen 1 PrintScreen 2 shows duplicate commencing again at 'Recently Bookmarked' but not sure whether in Menu, or another folder. I have noticed for several months now that Firefox NO LONGER downloads to the selected default folder - DOWNLOADS. Evidently this is another area where firefox broke something while fixing something else that likely wasn't broke.

I have the default download folder set to DOWNLOADS but firefox no longer does it that way. Instead, it defaults to the last folder to which I downloaded something and otherwise ignores the default setting.

Why can I not use certain websites on Firefox, when they work fine with other browsers. For instance, I could not book a flight on United.com but did so easily with Chrome. I assume there is some security thing that does not allow united, or other sites, to fill in the necessary info. This has been going on for 10 years. Sometimes, I realize it is a Firefox problem and go to another site, and sometimes now. I want to use FF, but since, I so often get blocked, it is a hassle. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

Firefox version 103.0 causes Windows (intel HD) graphics driver to crash and restart repeatedly. Temporary fix = disable hardware acceleration in firefox. I had to force a shutdown by holding down the power button on my laptop to get out of this infinate loop. Mouse becomes unresponsive and does not appear or move after a few crash and restarts of graphics driver. One way to stop it early on is to close firefox by keep clicking the tab close x or top right firefox page close x. Problem only on one website that i listed below.

here is the windows events entry(i edited out my computer name)... website i loaded in firefox that gives me this problem... cams.omexxx.com (note it is a pron site). I did not even click aree to terms.

To troubleshoot i did the following... 1) opened command prompt with admin priveledges and ran sfc /scannow it found no errors. 2) i reset all kaspersky settings back to default. 3) I refreshed firefox back to default settings. my addons were deleted after doing so and i did not add them back. 4) i uninstalled the intel hd graphics driver from device manager 5) i reinstalled the intel hd graphics driver downloaded and hash checked today same version as old driver. 6) even after the above problem remains 7) I tried loading the website that gives me this problem in microsoft internet explorer and i did NOT get the problem. 8) Done some google research online and then i went to... firefox menu - tools - settings - general - Performance - this was selected so i unselected it = Use recommended performance settings i unselected this option = Use hardware acceleration when available 9) I went to the problem website and i no longer got the problem/bug so now i have a temporary workaround/solution.

Please investigate and fix this at your end if you can or find out what is going on. Think about turning off hardware acceleration by default in firefox as it is obviously bug prone. This problem only started in the last couple/few days. Did the website in question change something in the last days? before that i accessed it with no problems. Did firefox update recently? I had not changed my intel driver until i got this bug. I have other event viewer errors here is an example of one that may or may not be relevant that has appeared a lot lately (it states atal error)...

Hi Firefox support

I am using Nuance Dragon Professional and trying to install the Dragon extension into Firefox. This is because I am disabled and my hands do not work well See this link https://dnsriacontent.nuance.com/13/setup/ffinstall.html?lang=ENX&browser=firefox

When I hit the install the extension button on the screen nothing happens

I did check to see if this extension was in the Mozilla Firefox extension library and no success

I can make this work with Google Chrome but I would prefer to stick with Firefox Chris Gullett - cg@printstar.biz

Downloading with Firefox stops repeatedly and is very annoying.

Sometimes first get the following message that Firefox "..nloads\CZ5EEAZM.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Please try again later, or contact the administrator of the server. " (see sattach creenshot)

After pressing repeat too many times, the file will finally be downloaded. Sometimes it doesn't work and Firefox crashes.

Question, who recognizes the problem and more importantly how do I solve it?

As of 16 August Firefox Development Edition continually crashes.

Firefox standard is fine.

Tried the following 1. Shutdown and restart 2. Refresh 3. Uninstall, download and reinstall (4 times) 4. Chkdsk /r with restart then uninstall and reinstall 5. Open in troubleshoot mode 6. Tried incognito window 7. Tried disabling AV (Eset)

No change other than when the crash happens. Initially it would require opening a few tabs and browsing - now it crashes on startup.

Given that no other applications are behaving adversely, that Firefox standard works, that this was working find until 12 hours ago - my suspicion is it is something to do with the Developer edition.

Any other suggestions welcome.

//Firefox 103.0.1; Linux 5.10; Debian 11.4.0; xserver-xorg 1:7.7; Nvidia 515.57 driver// After clicking on ->Web Browsing -> Firefox there is NO visible response for 26 seconds... then a normal application window opens and Firefox appears to be operating normally. Opening via command line gives the following "error/information" message(s): glxtest: VA-API test failed, failed to initialize VAAPI connection. For the TWENTY-SIX seconds(!) Firefox is apparently trying to connect to a service that is not available. Is there something in "Settings" or in "about:config" that I can do to skip the "glxtest" and/or other glx VAAPI related configuration options? Or, alternatively, am I missing something in the X-window configuration or another library package that is necessary to support the VA-API feature? The Nvidia driver indicates it is providing "GLX server" version 1.4 . [Troubleshooting information / Share Data attached]

I've been using Firefox as my preferred browser for almost as long as it has been available. And I keep it right up to date.

Right now, it's having problems establishing secure connections to very common web sites like https://Google.ca, and https://www.theguardian.com/uk. The former seems to work intermittently, and Google.com always seems to work. Web sites for some major international retailers like Home Depot were also nonfunctional a few weeks ago, but seem to be more consistent now.

Microsoft Edge has no problems displaying any of these web sites on the same computer. And I've been using it more and more recently. This is annoying since I have all of my bookmarks in Firefox.

I have gone through all of the Firefox settings looking for adjustments which might help, but none of the ones I tested made any difference.

I really hope you can help because this problem is costing me a lot of extra time. If I'm forced to switch to another browser, it's unlikely that I'll ever come back to Firefox.

A few days ago I started having issues with pages printing correctly. The page displays normal, but prints very zoomed in. I did not change any settings before this happened (but I did update recently). I have tinkered with different printing settings (fit to page/scale and others) to try to solve the problem, but I cant seem to solve it. I also used the troubleshooting page to reset print settings, which also did nothing. If I download the page and open it from my desktop everything works like normal, but it is a bit of a pain to do every time. I have tried multiple websites and two different printers, so it seems to be a browser related issue. How do I fix this?

Computer is a Macbook Pro on 10.15.7, Firefox is version 103.0.1

Nothing fixes this. I get error codes on every site i try, twitch, streamable, etc. None play videos.
