I'm running Firefox 102.4.0 ESR (32 bit) on a Win-7 (32 bit) PC.

It works fine. I visit a LOT of websites, it works fine.

Until just now. I'm trying to bring up namecheap.com (a domain registrar) and I'm getting this message:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.namecheap.com. security library failure. Error code: SEC_ERROR_LIBRARY_FAILURE

I'm not given any option to alter any FF settings or to otherwise create an exception to "trust" this site to be able to access it.

I've read where changing security.pki.crlite_mode (currently 3) to something else (like 0) and I've tried that, and unless I have to close and restart FF for that to take effect (which I have not done) then that setting doesn't fix the issue.

What exactly is going on here? Why is only THAT SITE giving me problems?

"Block pop-up windows" is enabled in Firefox, but I still get popups from www.smh.com.au Maybe you have time to investigate - a different type of popup needs blocking.

Why does Firefox suddenly ignore the fact that I checked the 'always ask me' box regarding where to download files and puts them in the downloads folder? this very annoying.

I have tried with different commands lie ctrl+w,Ctrl+alt+F4 , like this everything is used to closed current tab or entire browser .I tried the other way right click on tab> close all tabs But i need a shortcuts to close all tabs except the current tab which were using. Could you please help me on this.Which will be more useful to me ..

I use FF all day, every day and recently it stopped automatically logging me into my account when I open the browser. I've read through the other posts on this topic and tried everything from creating a new profile to changing the History settings. Unfortunately, none of the solutions provided have worked. I know it's only one password to type in and then my profile is synced and it retrieves my bookmarks, saved logins, etc. but it's very annoying to have to do.

Does anyone else have any other potential solutions?

The last time I downloaded your update, I think it was in May, 2022, you apparently downloaded the version for Windows 10. It would not work with my windows 7. By the time I got it fixed I had lost ALL my bookmarks, history, etc. Now you are offering the latest download, I believe it is July. I am afraid to download it for fear I might lose all my bookmarks again. Can I just ignore the download. I DO NOT want to go to Windows 10 or 11. I am 95 years old and I like to stick to what I know. What is the situation with you and Windows 7 at this time? Are you no longer offering it? Thanks for your help. I have had Firefox since Firefox 1.0 (October 2004). In fact I still have the original instruction manual and the disk. constant updates and changes and stuff that stops working and stuff nobody wants ? what are you guys doing besides trying to justify your job? how about leaving it alone and fixing some of the old bugs i cannot even search, the text string keeps going to the url entry position at the top do the mozilla programmers even use this lousy browser? i bet they use gogo duck !! time to go away

Some, but not all, videos on Twitter and tumblr don't function. On tumblr, the audio usually plays but the video is blank. On Twitter, the videos are always stuck loading. Thumbnails always load, there is no way for me to know if a video will work or not without trying to play it.

They work when I use a different browser, and Youtube is fully functional, so it can't be an issue with my laptop. The other person in the house who uses Firefox is able to play the same videos without issue.

I've searched for solutions and exhausted the possibilities in dozens of articles and support sites saying the same things over and over again. I'm at my wit's end.

I've tried: -disabling hardware acceleration -audio and video permissions -clearing cache and cookies -disabling enhanced tracking protection -switching off adblocker -running it in troubleshooting mode -refreshing Firefox

None of these did anything. Can anybody give me even a scrap of an idea as to what I can do?

I'm trying to sign into/sync Firefox on a new phone. It keeps saying I need to get code from authenticator app. I don't have one! I try to scan IR code from computer, but it still requires a code. Sometimes it says it is sending a code to my email address. It does not. I ask it to resend code but it never does. I am logged into Firefox on my computer, is there a way to turn off the authenticator or otherwise solve this problem?

My mother recently passed away and I've been using the web browser to check her mail. I decided that I wanted to stop her computer from sending and receiving the emails on her computer and deleted the account thinking that the files would still be there. But alas, they all disappeared even though I didn't click the delete files button. is there anyway to recover them? do I need to set up her account on this computer again for them to reappear. I really hope this is the case, as there was so much information that I needed in those files.

Hi ! Who knows, if Firefox can be used as Browser within MS Outlook 2019 on a Windows 10 - System. Firefox is definded as Standard-Browser on my DeskTop and used since many years. After Upgrading of MS-Outlook 2007 to MS-Outlook 2019, the activation of Firefox to display a mail in "Browser Mode" is not possible. Struggled with MS-Support nearly an entire day at the end it was the conclusion, that only Internet Explorer IE will be supported - but you know, already abandoned since June 2022. Therefore I can't accept their statement and I'm in search of a official explanation, that Firfox is not excluded by MS within MS-Outlook. Using Firefox as Standard-Browser with disabled IE, MS-Edge & Chrome, the activation of Firefox during open a mail in browser-mode is leading to loop, in which Firefox is creating a lot of tabs in the background and Firefox-process can be stopped only by Task Manager, it's really a strange behaviour. Does anybody have had the same experience or is knowing about that is welcome to give me a hint ... Thank you in advance. Didi

I removed the login for id.logi.com and www.logitech.com but the webpage login prompt for id.logi.com that opens their Logitech Options application in Windows doesn't present me with the prompt to enter my login info but still opens the app without logging me in confirmed by the app that I'm not logged in.

When I click to login to the www.logitech.com site I'm also not presented with the username/password prompt butt I am automatically logged in.

After being logged in via the website, now the Logitech Options app shows me logged in while the webpage that launches the app wouldn't log me in but still opened the app.

Clearing site data and cookies for id.logi.com and www.logitech.com didn't fix the problem. How can I not login on one page and be able to login on another page both without a login prompt?

mailto link action of browser does not work since last update, now it only shows firefox as the only option, you cannot specify anything else. if is not going to work, then delete the feature. firefox is going downhill

I'm trying to stream the series "When Calls the Heart" from the Hallmark Streaming channel. When I click Play, a wait circle starts spinning, but the video won't load. I can watch other videos from their channel, just not this series. Any suggestions?

In the past (loooong time ago) I used an extension to password protect my browser, had multiple profiles and for each you could only enter with a password, since that is no longer avaiable we still have the "Master Password" that would be great too if there wasn't the "cancel" option, you see, when the prompt appears you can't click anywhere else, tabs, bookmarks, nothing, so if there was a way to remove the "Cancel" option from the prompt that would be a great measure for security, is there any way to remove it from the code or something?

Cannot get new norton password manager to work with new Firefox change " Website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it" Firefox asks Norton PW manager to go to another webpage for a redirect and it just spins.

Please fix, I need to get in my Norton PW manager for passwords.
