Have to keep scrolling bookmarks folders from the top instead of being able to pick up where I left off LIKE IT USED TO BE.

Also, instead of being able to right click and open bookmarks in new tabs to try and speed things up, it immediately switches to the new tab, which means having to scroll from the top of the folder AGAIN anyway. And yes, I'm well aware of the "switch to it immediately" option in the settings menu, and that box is UNCHECKED in my settings.

I'm not the only one complaining about this time waster, yet no replies from support on any of the threads.

Having used Thunderbird for some time, I installed it on a new PC, and found that virtually all my emails on a particular account seem to have been deleted, despite the app being set up to retain them. I checked on the webmail (BT) and they have gone. The account is set up as IMAP - as is another account on the same server, which seems OK. BT won't engage with me on this as they "don't support third party apps" I assume that 3 years worth of important client history is gone for ever? Can anyone suggest what I did wrong, or is this a software failure?

Yesterday, David suggested that I find out 1) what are my incoming server settings, 2) my STMP, and 3) to report any error messages. When I contacted the company from which I have broadband, their reply to 1) and 2) was that it was Mozilla Thunderbird that could reply as they did not have that informaion), and in regards to error messages, i have received none, except where, "Send now" appeared before, there is a chubby pen leaning to the right, followed by the word "write, (subject), and "Thunderbird." I have not been able to send an email for almost a week. What is the matter?

After last nights Windows 10 update, Firefox freezes whenever it tries to load. At first, I would have to try loading two or three times before it would actually load my home page. First try - Invalid applilcation, cannot load. Second try - loads Firefox with a blank home page, no searching; all bookmarks are inactive; only show "new tab". Third try - Firefox loaded BUT all Bookmark Folders have disappeared!!! Since then nothing is working even after updating it twice. I am still only getting a blank home page with none of the listed bookmarks being active. Each effort seems to bring about less and less function. Google browser is working fine, but I'm not found of that one - only use it as a backup.

I asked this question about 115.4.1 and was told to try in safe mode. However I cannot connect to my mail servers of which I have 2 and Gmail when in safe mode. Please look into the resource handling problem with the new Thunderbird under Win10.

1) Whenever I open Thunderbird the Gmail messages apparently get refreshed taking several minutes. I have cleaned up that inbox and limited to 366 days of mail.

2) I spent hours moving mail from past year from my other accounts into local storage. You no longer can scroll and block select more than about 20-30 messages at a time regardless of the background activity 1) above. The program requires you to repeatedly release shift key to grab more than a few messages. If you are able to grab say 1000 messages, and try to move them, the system chokes and does not respond.

3) Any background activity impedes the ability to scroll the inbox.

The new versions are crippled in some way as far as resources. The older version was more tolerant.

Please listen to complaints. Putting in safe mode I cannot troubleshoot. It is also very difficult in Win10 to follow instructions to safe mode unlike previous OS.

This is an old question, but now over the time i can be more specific with this problem. What i know now in windows 10: - with firefox ESR sandboxie works fine all the time (now I use v 115.8.0); - with current firefox (v123) what happens is, after install current version, every time i open firefox, it works fine, but if i select "pause forcing programs", to change something in firefox, this means open firefox without sandboxie, now the first time i open firefox again sandboxie, it´s freeze, and can´t use for this moment now firefox sandboxie. Only works without sandboxie.

I need someone to help me NOW. I have very important medical information that I need to access and cannot get to AOL mail due to a box asking for a primary password email does not work; foxfire password does not work. there is not way to make a primary password.

I am on Windows 10 on a relatively new Dell Laptop. Only two years old. All of a sudden when I go to AndyMark.com it displays in a menu on the left as if I'm on a mobile device. Looks like either Windows has changed indicating I am on a mobile device (which a laptop is mobile) or Firefox has changed and defaults to mobile for Windows? Selecting ask for Desktop View is no longer available. I do not want Mobile view and the mobile view on my laptop for this site is not useable. I have been using Firefox since 1990. Never had this issue before. Please help.

Firefox on my other laptops and desktops with linux see the site fine. Chrome works. Edge works. But my preferred browser has an issue.

Your new update, like your last several suck. It is sssllllooowww to load most webbsites. Watching a video is frustrating, pausing every few secons. every time i clear cache and history this is what i see in words with frind not it has not always done that seems ince the nest Firefox update it does it I hav eanother problem when shut dw nte computer and restart Mozlla hangs and will not load could it be my home page I use xfinity

My Firefox crashes almost constantly, up to several times every couple minutes. I recently wiped my entire computer and reinstalled Windows (to fix other problems, among this one) but the issue is still happening. I have a list of a couple dozen crash logs that I can show, and I have tried reading through them and debugging to no avail. The crashes also still persist in Troubleshoot mode. Starting on 12/1/23 Firefox browser on Windows PC is Not Responding while loading up bookmarks toolbar. Switching to "Never Show" is only way to load the browser. Trying to open or manage bookmarks freezes up the FF browser again.
