I don't like getting recommendations in Pocket that you need a subscription to read. Why waste my time giving me the initial information on something, but then when I try to read it, I can't because I already have too many subscriptions. Seems like there used to be an option besides "Dismiss" to not show content from particular sites?

My Firefox browser is up to date but I cannot log on to my Bank website. As soon I enter my Logon info I get logged out, however I can access the site using MS EDGE. This is a recurring problem. The website recognizes Firefox as an valid browser. Occasionally I have been able fix problem by clearing the browser Cookies/History but at present none of that works. Do you have any suggestions? My preferred browser is Firefox so this problem is frustrating.

Is there a way to replace the navigation icons on the context menu with their text-only counterparts?

I've tried the following code segments which provide less-than-optimal results.

This one which worked in FF 88, now removes the icons, but leaves 4 blank buttons in a row with no text...

#context-back image,
#context-forward image,
#context-reload image,
#context-stop image,
#context-bookmarkpage image {display: none !important;}}

This one completely removes the options, but I would like to keep them, and replace them with their text counterparts

#context-navigation,
#context-sep-navigation {
   display:none !important;
}

Please see attached images for the before and after of what I'm trying to achieve.

Might be nice to have the blank icon column to the left of these 4 items so they all line up with the items below, but I can live without that if it's not possible.

In Linux Ubuntu I created 4 different launchers for 4 profiles.

Firefox opens the different profiles correctly, but the name of Profile 4 is displayed in the title bar for all windows. This causes confusion when I'm using the different profiles. Furthermore, the icon displayed in the icon bar is also the same for the 4 profiles, although I have configured a different icon for each profile. I ask for help as I need each instance to have its own name and icon displayed correctly.

The launchers look like this:

firefox-profile1.desktop: Name= Profile 1 Exec=firefox -P profile1 --no-remote Icon=~/.local/share/icons/profile1.png

firefox-profile2.desktop Name=Profile 2 Exec=firefox -P profile2 --no-remote Icon=~/.local/share/icons/profile2.png

firefox-profile3.desktop Name=Profile 3 Exec=firefox -P profile3 --no-remote Icon=~/.local/share/icons/profile3.png

firefox-profile4.desktop Name=Profile 4 Exec=firefox -P profile4 --no-remote Icon=~/.local/share/icons/profile4.png

Yesterday on my linux computer I noticed that my container setup ise back to the default setting. Now I'm using my windows laptop, and it is als back to the defaults. I'm afraid the same thing will happen when I start using my windows desktop. Should I poll the network cable and delete my firefox sync data, so I can hopefully save my containers setup? Or is this not going to help, and I'm fucked anyway :)

Trying to recover from a hard drive crash. Had to buy a new desktop with Windows 11 Pro (looking to be a bad move). I downloaded/updated to Firefox 126.0 (maybe also looking to be a bad move).

Have my last "working" userChrome file (it took me weeks to perfect this to my needs).

I am looking for: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

but there is no "AppData" folder. And there is no existing userChrome.css file, anywhere!

Is the functionality I am looking for a thing of the past?

Is Firefox not completely supported by Windows 11?

If so, what is the last version of Firefox that will still support userChrome.css?

I'm using the OneTab add-on, Enabled. The icon no longer shows on the Toolbar, though it is on the Menu bar next to Firefox View.

I ran Remove and then Added it again, hoping the Toolbar Icon would reappear = no go, And I lost all URLs already saved, stupid me. To be clear, clicking the Icon on the Toolbar saves all open tabs.

Is there a fix via Preferences? Thanks. gw

After accidentally cutting power to my pc, Firefox has been crashing upon start. I've tried using Troubleshoot Mode, refreshing, reinstalling, and even manually deleting all my user data, but nothing has worked. These crashes do not appear in the crash logs, and happen instantly upon opening the program.

Oddly enough, using task manager to restart Windows Explorer stops the crashing, at least for thirty or so seconds (this is how I was able to try Troubleshoot Mode, as well as accessing logs). I have no idea why this is, nor if it's useful information.

Good morning, I have a problem with disappearing bookmarks, but I can organise the backup of the places.sqlite, but I assume that won´t be enough to recover, therefore my question is, which files would be needed or is the one mentioned sufficient?

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

After reading just a few questions and their answers here I realize that I'm never going to learn everything I need to know to feel comfortable or even enjoy using my desktop computer. As for my cell phone, I've never liked using it and unless someone helps me learn how to use all the available features in Firefox (plus everything else in a smart phone which I call that stupid phone) then I will probably end up throwing it in the garbage and will sit in waiting rooms reading a book or magazine instead of doing whatever it is everyone else is doing on their phones. Most likely they're texting which I just learned how to do a few months ago. I never thought texting was necessary for me to know but now it seems to be the only way my adult children keep in touch these days.

How can I possibly learn everything I can or should do with Firefox? I barely know how to use all the basic features even though I've used Firefox for years. Your updates come so frequently that I will never be able to catch up! Why don't you offer some courses strictly for seniors who need a lot or even just a little bit of guidance when it comes to tackling technological issues? I dislike new technology but we have to use it, don't we? So, make life easier for us older folks and offer a few virtual courses to help us learn what we need to know. Come on Mozilla you can do it. You offer the technology now show us how to use it!

There is a display issue when I search anything in the url bar. It goes up the window, and disappears completely if many suggestions are made. The issue disappears when in troubleshooting mode. I disabled all plugins, changed the theme to no avail.

I'm trying to watch videos on Disney plus and Amazon prime. I can't get them to work. I tried various tutorials but many were irrelevant because they referred to google chrome which I don't even have. I tried checking and unchecking the enable DRM checkbox. Widevine never seems to update. I do not know how to install in manually.

When I restarted my PC and opened Firefox only 1 tab Open previous windows and tabs. All the other 6 disappeared. I opened 3 additional tabs, closed Firefox, and reopened Firefox and only the one same tab was there from the previous session. Why does the feature not work properly?

I have enabled my new Theme but it keeps defaulting back to my old Theme. I have tried closing Firefox and opening new tabs. Opening a new tab also changes it back to the default theme. I have sent an image of the old theme. The new theme is Aurora Australis. And the second image shows this Theme enabled. What gives? Carl

A blank survey pops up in my homepage each time I open Firefox, I haven't filled it yet since I don't know what it entails and what it is about. There is no option to close it either, and it seems bugged as it isn't going away even after updating the version of Firefox, it is still present on 125.0.2 version. Kindly assist regarding the same. I have attached a picture of the same herewith.
