Sometimes when I delete a group of emails from my inbox it deleted the entire inbox. It has happened twice now. When it did it yesterday I had 8 emails selected for deletion. When I hit delete it deleted all 2200 emails in the box. When it was deleting them I confirmed that only 8 were selected by looking at the number of selected in the lower right corner of the screen. Worse, when I click undo the delete it does not restore the 2200 deleted but only the 8 that I had selected for deletion. This is a serious bug and has resulted in loss of all my emails over the few years.

After upgade Thunderbird to 115.0.1 version, all my outlook.com email accounts encounter an error:

What is the problem? Doesn't TB support outlook.com accounts anymore?

The problem is that after the download of the 115.01 version it has not been possible to register properly my "name"@arcor.de account with the email provider via imap.vodafonemail.de from Thunderbird . With imap.web.de there has been no problem. Strangely, it is possible to send emails via smtp.vodafonemail.de from Thunderbird although these sent emails are not shown neither in Thunderbird nor in the Vodafone email app. Incoming emails are properly shown in the Vodafone email app but not in Thunderbird.

Hello, After upgrading from 102 version to 115 some emails no longer render correctly. I will get blank headers and blank body. Also email as Ipasted below.

I have been marking as Junk on some messages for years now. When does TB ever send those directly to the Junk file? Specifically. Can I create filters to send any message I mark junk to the junk file under Local Folders? I've tried and can't seem to get junk messages sent direct to that Local Folder Junk file. Is there some trick to how you create a filter? The way I've been doing it is: Open Message Filters, check "Filters for: and click the email address. Then click New for a filter. Then, in the new filter, type in Filter name:. "JUNK". Leave ck mark in Manually Run, Getting New Mail as "Filter before Junk Classification" (Or should I use Filter after?). Leave ck mark in "Match all of the following. Now, Subject, contains - and that's where the email address goes. Usually I have copied it from the junk message and paste in. And finally, Move Message to: Junk on Local Folders. So why don't this work? And as far as I'm concerned Spam should be the same. Do I need to create filters for both junk and spam? And both before junk classification and after?

Just upgrading from TB 102.13 (on Manjaro) to 115.0.1 (on Arch Linux), nearly everything works and the GUI experience is much better! Great job :-)

But after importing my PGP-Keys and trying to send mails encrypted, I received an error with no further explanation. On the command line I got some hints and assume, that this might be the origin of the problem:

the packages libidn and libidn2, which provide punycode.js, are already installed.

Is there something wrong with my installation or, on the other hand, the bug already known?

I am using filters and address books to send incoming emails to the right folder.

Sometimes I want a routed email in a different folder. But when I move it to that folder, either by drag and drop or the Move function, the filter puts it right back where it knows it belongs.

Is there a way to move an email so the program knows I am the boss? (I am, aren't I?)

I've been a Thunderbird user for many years and have always been impressed with its ability to send most spam messages to the junk folder. However, the new version of Thunderbird, while visually appealing, no longer filters spam and I have to send the messages to junk manually. What is wrong with the new version?

I have used Thunderbird for 12+ years. Now that we have AT&T as our new ISP, I have learned that AT&T doesn't provide an email address. I had no idea and I am frustrated. I also have Gmail, but I am not happy about trying to merge my large Gmail file with my 17 GB Thunderbird file. I worry about losing emails from years ago saved in Thunderbird and in Eudora before that! I assumed I would get an AT&T email and go on as before. Now what?

I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world to use Gmail all the time. I hate its filing system which is why I want to keep using Thunderbird. I worry as both files are large. Can I really merge all this stuff and not lose my old emails?

I have been getting messages to up date Thunderbird. The first 3 were last week, and appeared to be in Chinese. Today I started to keep the update messages in English. So I went the the thunderbird update release channel and downloaded the latest release. But, I am still getting notifications to update thunderbird. I rechecked the release channel and am using the current version.

Hi, Up until Supernova I used the BiDi Mail UI extension in order to write right to left text (hebrew) in a Thunderbird. BiDi Mail UI is not compatible with the new release and I am searching for a new way to correctly write rtl messages. Can you suggest a new way? Recently something changed in my e-mail which I have used for years in conjunction with G-mail hosted accounts / service (google workspace). I do not know if I clicked the wrong setting or what in either... I just know that I cannot see any emails over 30 days in any folder - regardless. And now many folders show no emails in because of no emails have been sent or received within the past 30 days in them. These store many "deals in the works" and notes from pasty dealings... I really need to access these but do not know how or where to find them... any help you can offer?

I'm 65 and have used this email for about 20 plus years... off and on have had problems that I have been able to get through but cannot get this one solved? Help!!

I had to leave Thunderbird because every time I try and create a customized signature, as much as Thunderbird excels in that area, the image storage drops the filename's path every time.

It forgets the path, so the file doesn't show up in the eMail. I purposefully put it "on the web" so it could be accessed from anywhere!

When is Thunderbird going to fix this so I can leave Apple's mail program and go back to Thunderbird?

Occassionally it works.

Today is another 'no go' day cannot trans or recieve. Hotmail online works but not Thunderbird.
