Since v117 update I noticed pages scroll way more. With one scroll they do double the amount of lines then previously. I thought I was seeing things, so I reinstalled Firefox v116.0 to make sure and confirmed it was scrolling less with the previous version. I found a setting "mousewheel.system_scroll_override.enabled" set to 'true' by default. Switching to 'false' fixes the scroll amount, but when I was back on v116.0 I checked that setting there and it was also set to 'true' by default, yet no double scrolling. So I have no idea what could cause this issue. Maybe something was 'fixed' with this setting and now it's applied correctly? Or should nothing change with scroll amount when updating from 116 to 117?

All images, webm, gif etc. are loading, seemingly, exactly 20% upscaled compared to the real resolution of the media. I'm using a 4k TV (S95B), but I have desktop scaling at 100%, and browser scaling at 100%. I don't believe it's a GPU or OS system wide type setting because windows photo viewer gets pictures right. I'm using ShareX to measure the pixels of pictures. I can even load a local picture in a tab, and it will be upscaled beyond its native resolution. I have no idea why. I've tried a bunch of things, like setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0, which did nothing. I've reset Firefox to no avail, and I have noticed that Chrome is doing the same thing, which would usually indicate it could be the OS or GPU driver, but again, other apps load images perfectly normally. Do apps have categories on Windows now, where something like a "browser" can be told to treat media files differently than other media handling categories? I'm really lost at this point, nothing seems to work.

Seems like when I tried logging in to my old account with a password reset, I somehow created a second account with the same email.

All my bookmarks and extension set ups seem to be gone.

Never had this issue, and have been using the same firefox account for like 5 years.

I search for "desktop" and it returns "Web pages" "page" along with desktop. None of the 81 results answer the query, "what is the desktop site?" in settings. Why? Why return random words? Why don't Boolean operators work? Please tell me the trick to searching, it's becoming a daily routine.

This problem started yesterday and I cant seem to fix it where youtube is too wide for my screen without any indicator on the top of my screen saying that its zoomed in and I cant watch any videos fullscreen. This glitch isn't a problem on any other websites. I tried opening and closing the browser, I tried restarting my computer tried clearing my cache and cookies and I tried using different accounts but none of them seem to fix the problem!

Hello. I have the most recent update for Android Firefox. Suddenly I can not watch videos because it says my JavaScript is off. I have not done anything to change any settings. And I am unable to get into "About:Config" to change anything. The version of Android Firefox is 117.0. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. Thank you so much. My Firefox keep "freezing" when I press enter in Google Search. Firefox doesn't freeze since I can still scroll up and down, and I can still access my other tabs. I tried the other solutions suggest on reddit or firefox fourms, but nothing works.

I reinstalled, reset the profiles, deleted all extensions and nothing works.

This has been asked here before but I've tried EVERYTHING that was offered that time, none worked.

I've used Firefox since the start, and before, I used Netscape in the 90s. I'm ready to move to another browser forever if I can't fix this. Can anyone help please?

Only thing that worked was dumb workaround of changing my Home URL from https://www.google.com (which takes about 60 seconds to do a search) to https://www.google.com/search?q=BipTunia

The second works. (Was the last search I'd done, it worked, so I used it. Works fast if I delete the word it puts in the search field, do my new search and hit Enter)

I'm on Win 10, latest version (117). Fast computer, no viruses. All other programs closed.

Search on main Google URL works fine with same Google account on other browsers, not Firefox.

I HAVE TRIED ALL OF THESE (WITH NO JOY), plus rebooting Firefox every times;

Every now and then every tab on firefox would just refresh at once. I would be watching a youtube video or just browsing the web when everything just freezes and then refreshes and I would see the loading icon on every tab.

Seems like in a recent upgrade an additional empty toolbar row was added to Firefox. How to remove it? When I view "Customize toolbars" I see the following page. How to remove the additional empty toolbar? I've read other answers to this problem here and see no way to execute those instructions. Thanks!

When I'm using my Firefox browser spell checking is working only with English language. Polish is my native language and I want use this function to Polish as well and set Polish as my default language. I tried to adding/removing other languages than Polish from options, setting higher priority to Polish language, how ever I have no result with that. Please help, will highly appreciate. When typing in the URL search bar I'd like to see ONLY URLs I've visited previously, bookmarks and currently open tabs. If I want to search using a search engine, I'll happily type in the search engine bar. Instead, most of the dropdown candidates are search engine autocompletions, with just a few recommendations based on my search history. Why show any search engine autocompletions at all? It doesn't help me AT ALL but I frequently know there are many more than 3 possible completion candidates in my previous history - and yet I can't see them.

I use Firefox on two computers, synced. Both computers are experiencing this issue. My browser will, at seemingly random intervals, refresh all tabs, which causes me often to lose my work on whatever I was doing. I have gone to about:config and turned off the auto-refresh preference, but the problem still persists. Please help, I don't want to switch to another browser but I will if this problem persists as it is QUITE frustrating.

I am using some custom SVG icons for my bookmark folders. I had my userChrome.css setup to set the icons based on the folder names, as well as color the icons with whatever the theme color was. This userChrome.css file worked fine in Firefox 116, but no longer works in 117. Now a couple of the icons are invisible, and the rest of them are black instead of the expected purple color from my theme. Can anyone help?

I have Firefox installed on two PCs. I see the option to add "Recommended by Pocket" under Settings/Home, but on the other one I don't. Screen shots of both are attached. I have completely uninstalled, cleaned up all Firefox files and re-installed Firefox multiple times on the PC where I don't see the Pocket option but nothing changes. Also gone into about:config and tried making changes from there. I want the Pocket recommendations to show on the Firefox Home page for both PCs.

I tried every solution posted and then I uninstalled and then wiped Firefox. Nothing helped. It seemed the picture would not sync or just freeze with the sound still playing. I came across an old post to change media.mediasource.enabled. Mine was already set on true. When I changed it to false it solved the problem.

Hi, Various Sites (sometimes firefox as a whole) keep crashing regularly. I am running Arch Linux (6.4.12, default kernel) with Hyprland WM on an old i7-7700K with a Nvidia GTX980TI. Apart from Firefox the system runs stable. When doing research, or just browsing text based sites, firefox is also very stable, but on some sites like twitch, youtube, or idle games like "Antimatter Dimensions" (ivark.github.io) the browser (or page) crashes regularly. It also happens in Troubleshoot mode, also after a clean re-install (including deleting /.mozilla in /home) and since various versions over the last couple of month. The latest crash report ID is bp-67ed2673-4ed2-452b-bc63-dc1060230831. I know I'm running a niche system, but I really like my setup and apart from those crashes it's amazing, so I hope you can help and point me in the right direction as to what could cause the crashes. The problem is I'm getting the "Unexpected response from server" message when trying to open any web page. Could you try to solve this without me updating the android version? My phone is not new and quick in the terms of performance so I do not update the OC. Please find the error examples, broeser version and my phone's system info attached in a form of screenshots.

Vs 117.0, installed this morning, will not "continue to spotify", during the login process to the spotify desktop app. All had been working perfectly over the past few months until today. Was able to connect to spotify thru Chrome, but something get changed/broke in the new firefox v117.0 (64 bit), Win 10.
