For over a decade, mobile users have had no addons for browsers (including Firefox,) how much longer will this last? There are like 10 sponsored addons (out of 10 million for desktop) that install, the rest only let you download the .xpi file (with nowhere to put the file.) Where is the mobile Firefox extensions folder to put the .xpi files for mobile Firefox? I have been waiting for over a decade for such basic support, I am about to abandon Android forever.

The latest version of an extension I use (specifically Leechblock NG) is not (yet) compatible with android, and after I accidentally deleted it it doesn't show up under "Find more add-ons". https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/leechblock-ng/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/leechblock-ng/ still exists, but the "Add to firefox" button is greyed out. When I go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/leechblock-ng/versions/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/leechblock-ng/versions/ it shows old versions and lets me download them, but there is no way to add it to Firefox for Android.

3. I saw on github i can test somethings from firefox-translations add-on for android but i don't understand the instructions to get it. Can someone explain it wider for me.(see link) https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-translations/#testing

I'm at my wits end. This issue started yesterday morning, and is still persisting, and I'm not quite sure what to do at this point other than use Chrome for One Singular Website and nothing else.

Currently, the website does the following:

  1. I open a new tab on this website.
  2. It asks me to log in.
  3. I select "Log in with Google".
  4. Firefox asks me "Prevent this site from opening a pop-up window?" and includes a link to the Google login doohickey.
  5. I tap "ALLOW" which opens the Google login doohickey in a new tab, where I sign in with my Google account.
  6. It goes back to the original tab, not having logged me in.

Previously, it would not give me a message about the pop-up, and would work fine. Presumably, asking this "Are you sure?" causes something to break with this one website's sign-in.

I have tried with Enhanced Tracking Protection set to Standard (default), Strict, and Custom, disabling all security features and throwing caution to the wind. None of these have fixed it.

I've tried going to about:config, since that was mentioned in a similar support post on here. It just leads me back to the tab I already have open, seemingly not doing Anything.

I've looked through every tab in settings, including Site permissions, and there is No Menu Option at all for pop-ups.

This was a very recent change, and only started giving me problems in February.

So, I apprehend how this works presently (or until recently) with Firefox for Android solid cut back to approximately a dozen extensions (provide or take) and first of all broader extension get right of entry to being to be had in forks like Iceraven and, ultimately, if you understand the name of the game code and have a Mozilla account, Firefox Nightly and Firefox Beta.

But, i have examine that this is converting to in which in preference to the prevailing "integrated" extension Firefox for Android extension library that become heavily limited on Firefox solid, it'll be replaced with the aid of an AMO library open to submissions in the same way pre-version sixty nine Firefox for Android, and present day Firefox for home windows are, with Android variations of extension on the identical AMO pages as their desktop opposite numbers, for the ones computer developers who additionally need an Android model.

I have a few questions, which maybe other human beings have too, inclusive of:

- Which model is this anticipated to fully land in nightly and beta? Approximate date?

- Which version is this expect to fully land in strong? Approximate date?

- Will all present day extensions with new extension versions stick round in every user's installations with a continuing upgrade, or will human beings should reinstall extensions manually after changeover?

- If the extensions deliver over automatically, what happens to people upgrading from, say, simply for instance, modern-day Android uBlock beginning to new extension fashion uBlock foundation past the obvious? Will the settings and customizations to such things as filters and filter listing be ported over much like a ordinary software program improve, or does the exchange in codecs make that a non-starter and revert to a popular new installation uBO? I ask because if extension settings do not bring over, humans should recognise to be able to backup what they could (and, if a backup mechanism isn't always supplied by means of an extension, the give up user could optionally take screenshots or notes before the current model goes away to get it returned doing things the manner the cease person would really like after) and reimport it to the new edition, if they care about such matters enough to do it.

- What occurs to the modern Firefox for Android extensions, both those covered on solid and the numerous more that are not, but that humans access thru forks and non-solid versions of Firefox? Is this strictly a one system at a time component, in which the handiest system disappears whilst solid is going live with support for the new style extensions, or might both upload-on systems exist side via aspect for some time thereafter?

Hello everyone, there is a feature that Samsung internet uses (and for the most part almost every app on iOS) called "back to top". With the introduction of add-ons I was hoping you could allow us to download an add-on that has similar functionality or Firefox could introduce this feature natively.

I find this feature quite important since you could be knee deep into an article, novel or webtoon and have the need to back to the top of the page (which can be as easy as pressing the home key on PC).

Hopefully there is a solution to this, I didn't think I'd miss it swapping from a browser that has it but I really do.

In about.config i set javascript.enabled false for most browsing, unless i really need to do otherwise (e.g. ecommerce). If i close the app (menu quit), and restart it, javacript.enabled is reset true. This behaviour is not replicated for other settings i may make, e.g. dom.storage.enabled, or permissions.default.image. Being Android i have no root so no possibility of creating a user.js to override Firefox ignoring my settings. This seems to be a bug. Version is Android Nightly version 121.0a1, 2023-11-05.
