I've read the "fixes" from 2023 and they do not work for me. I tried changing the DESCRIPTION to blank, didn't work. Changed them to the corresponding e-mail for the account. Didn't work. Changed it to "SMTP" with the corresponding e-mail. Didn't work.

It keeps changing the last one I edit to the one I edited before it. It's driving me crazy. Won't send mail unless the User Name is correct (obv.)

Whole mess started when forced to switch from Cox to Yahoo recently. Seems to be working other than TB changing the name as soon as I type in the next one in the next email address and then it not working until I change the User Name back to the proper e-mail address of the 6 accounts.

I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

Good Day. I inadvertently upgraded to version 125 using PatchMyPC. After the upgrade the filters are not listing correctly. I search for a filter that I know exists; but it does not appear. When I try to save it under the same name, obviously it complains that the Filter already exists. I'm assuming this will be fixed in a future release. Thanks. Joe T.

My Local Folders has become corrupted after restoring from a backup. I can't delete or move subfolders, and can only delete messages by holding down the shift key. Is there a way of repairing this? Thanks.

I just migrated my email from cox to yahoo servers. The cox.net domain is retained.

I had never seen a "bulk" folder with my other domains and was having problems with emails being sent there.

I deleted the bulk folder and it moved to trash but cannot actually be deleted. I also re created a bulk folder. see pic.

Now emails are still going to the bulk folder that is in trash.

Is there any way to fix this?

I deleted Thunderbird, than Installed latest version. Now in Thunderbird "Use Primary Password" is clicked so I can't reset primary P/W. Previous P/W doesn't work because there is no P/W there as far as I can see. Instructions I found: "Tools> Developer Tools> Error> etc. There is no "Error" button. Instead I get Incoming Connection (attachment) and an other screen that I don't understand. Can you help please? Thank you Ilio Pieroni

I'm encountering an issue with accessing my website, www.mobilepackages.in. When I try to access it using the HTTP protocol (http://), the website doesn't appear. However, when I use the HTTPS protocol (https://), the website shows up without any problems. What could be causing this discrepancy? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!

Several days ago, my comcast email said it couldn't connect, and after trying a couple other things, I removed the account and tried to add it back on. When I try to add it as an IMAP account, it pulls up a window that loads for a minute then says "Unable to connect. An error occurred during a connection to localhost." On the thunderbird window where I entered my password, it says "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." I logged in on a browser, so I know the username and password are correct. I tried adding it as a POP account, and that worked fine, but I need it as IMAP.

Windows 10 Pro Desktop PC I am using Tunderbird for my gmail account. Version 115.10.1 (32 bit) Ever since there was a update (upgrade?) to gmail I can no longer use Thunderbird for my gmail. I don't know if it's at the Thunderbird end or the gmail end.

Here are the messages I recieve: First is on the actual email message and the second is a "pop-up" msg in the lower right of my screen.

Error on the composed message: "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent Mail) due to network or file access error. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent Mail-Rick.Reckage@gmail.com"

Error message at bottom right of Thunderbird: "Connection to server.imap.gmail.com timed out"

Thank you for any help to fix this. I like Thunderird so I contribute. I want to be abble to continue using it for gmail ifmpossible.

Since the update TB to v115.10.1 it will not connect to server, the server just times out.

BUT If I then login to the server directly from browser and check mail (IMAP by the way) using my web online interface I get emails THEN if I open TB it connects and downloads as it should.

This is weird. It's been checking more than a dozen email accounts for a number of years without errors.

When composing a new email and using the F9 key to list addressees in the defaulted address book, this list does not contain many addresses that are contained in the "All Address Books" (Toolbar icon). The "All Address Books" contains 37 address entries whereas the defaulted address book contains 24. I noticed that the missing addressees are more recent additions.

The height of the viewing panel for emails is far too small. I can only see a couple of lines of text at the most and am unable to reduce the height of the incoming list of emails as previously in order to increase the height of the viewing panel. I have been helped to increase the font size of the overall layout so that I can now read it better but the green button to declare that my problem has been solved tells me that the page isn't working!

Hello there, Iam facing a problem with changing Firefox homepage background. I tried every solution, tutorial, oldposts etc. nothing seems to work, here is what I tried. -1- The chrome folder is in the right folder. -2- the naming of both CSS files userChrome, userContent. -3- enabled CSS files at startup -4- search for both CSS files in the browser toolbox for some reason I cannot find both CSS files, even though they are in the chrome directory. Also, I have 2 chrome folders one of them is located here. "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\shaf5qn0.default-release\storage\permanent\chrome" the other one I created myself which is here "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\shaf5qn0.default-release\chrome" I tried to delete the first one but I cant, I get an error that this file is being used even though I did close Firefox. What I am missing here?

Going back many versions now I have noticed Thunderbird fails to download new email messages as they arrive on the mail server inbox or junk folders, until now I have lived with it but I need a solution. If I click on any folder like Inbox or Junk the most recent messages are downloaded for that folder. I have set Server Setting to: 1)Check for new messages at startup (which seems to work) 2) Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive (does not seem to work) In the past IMAP did not require periodic checking for new messages, as the server received them Thunderbird displayed them, so I have not set Check for new messages every X minutes. In the past many mail servers did not like auto checking more frequently than every 15mins (not sure if this still applies these days). Are there any other mail settings in Thunderbird that may prevent Auto Download of new messages as they arrive. I have the latest Thunderbird ie 115.10.1 (32 bit) Supernova I have four mail account all on different servers same problem with all. Last time I used MSOutlook (which I don't use anymore) it worked fine so I'm leaning toward this being a Thunderbird issue. Windows firewall set to allow Thunderbird Router set for DMZ to machine just in case. ;>) Am i missing a new Thunderbird setting I cannot find?

I had to reinstall Windows and now I can't reinstall Thunderbird. It says my password is incorrect to my primary email server but it is correct. I use yahoo mail but it is showing the host as att. All of my contact and distribution groups are there.

I am in the middle of creating a new event. If I click on the "Invite Attendees" button an "Invite Attendees" dialog appears with an email address already loaded in the first line. In my instance, this email address isn't mine! It is an alias on our corporate Zimbra email system that hasn't been used for 15 years, but is nowhere in my Thunderbird v102.15.1 client. It also isn't in any of my Thunderbird accounts. Where can I define this?

Can I stop being notified of new updates? I don't even want to hear about them. A registry change maybe?

A previous thread I started requested help for an issue that transpired when I updated from 102 to 115 back in 2023. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1424162 After messing with it, I uninstalled the 115 update, deleted Thunderbird folders in my user's AppData folders and reinstalled the last update I knew that worked with the email that Thunderbird was having a problem which was 102. I had turned off auto-updates and got my four email accounts back like I prefer.

Last month I was presented with an update notification that I confused with a Firefox update and installed it. Darn - the Unified Folder in that one email was messed up again. I attempted some settings changed to the folders and it seemed to work. I was not too thrilled with the toolbar change at the top, preferring the small print Menu Bar at top, with Tabs directly under and finally Mail Toolbar at bottom but I resigned to live with the change.

A few weeks passed and the Unified Folder for that one email once again had a couple of subfolders under the account AND ALSO I noticed that syncing with my iPhone and other computers stopped. I was having to delete messages twice. TIME TO UNINSTALL AND FIND 102 AGAIN.

Not a huge deal besides needed to redo the columns to my preferences and I finally figured out the child inheritance to other folders thing with all this practice re-configuring to older versions.

So the question... is there a chance that I can have the new update notification stopped? I don't want to even be notified by way of a periodic popup that I have to be on my toes so I can dismiss.

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

Opened a directory of pdfs from the command line using ```firefox * &``` and went on with my work.
