Using Firefox on desktop, Windows 11. I am a long term Firefox fan/user.

My problem is I cannot find anywhere an easy method to add a shortcut on my Home Screen (which has now been a FF feature for some considerable time).

I am sure there was something available to do this in a prior version some time back. If I search the internet, I only come across articles describing how to do it on Firefox Android.

I know I can manually edit a box on the Home Screen to create what I need.

Sometimes new web sites that I visit appear in the boxes and I can then pin them in place - but the behavior around this is very erratic and unreliable - seems like random chance for an icon to appear on the home screen for a newly visited site. If this was more consistent, I could work with that.

BUT - where is the **intuitive** option??!!

I should be able to right-click on a tab and select "Add to Home Screen".

As simple as that.

Or drag and drop a link, or tab to the home screen - but this just opens the link. I have tried everything obvious that I can think of.

Anyone?

This bug occurs very randomly, but it seems there have few things in common.

- Occurring on domain level, one domain at once. For example, if Youtube.com stuck, any sub address including each video page is not loaded. Other website and whole browser works fine. - Other program on same PC is not affected, too. - Which page is stop loading is completely random. It might be happen only on a popular, feature-rich site like amazon, google, but not sure. - The timing is also random. Maybe after waking PC up from sleep, but not sure. Frequency of occurrence is once every 1~5 days. - The workaround without restarting browser is 1.)switching to other container tabs(strangely), 2.)opening website on private window. Disabling all the addon manually didn't help.

Since it's randomness, I didn't have any logs about this issue.

Hi, I am trying to save my most important Bookmarks as Shortcuts in Firefox Homepage, but Firefox is not showing the icons of the shortcuts, instead it is showing as Letters of the site. New computer, running Windows 11, McAfee LiveSafe came with for 30 day trial. I use Firefox, have since 1997. Just added Mozilla VPN. Old computer ran Xubuntu. the downloads icon in toolbar (the one that says, "Display the progress of ongoing downloads" when hovering cursor over it) keeps randomly opening and showing me the files that have downloaded as if i clicked on it. my cursor is nowhere near the icon, so no accidental clicking on it. and it seems to happen when I'm not touching the keyboard, mouse or trackpad. it just pops open. and there are not current downloads--just a list of files that have already been downloaded. odd...

I had been using Firefox browser for awhile, but because of playback performance issue, I have to using another browser just for video playing, especially for 4K video.

Compared to Edge, Firefox seems taking more resources to playback the YouTube video and more heat. When look at the Task Manager, the Video Processing is 0%, and GPU is running significantly more resources on '3D'.

Firefox only shows a black box when i try to run an embedded video. It works fine on other browsers, specifically Microsoft Edge. I ran it in troubleshooting mode which fixed the problem temporarily but reoccurs when computer is off and then turned on.
