To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins. Look for whatever website you need to check out.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

everything works fine...but when I go to my login and saved passwords I cant tell which website it because they all look like this...3b4a3f36-7056-4eee-bcb3-2b0838fa07e1

Take a screenshot of that and post it here. Cover up any passwords.

where is the actual web adress?

moz-extension:// links are coming from installed extensions. You can possibly open the about:debugging page via the location bar and go to This Firefox and search for a UUID of an extension.

See also the extensions.webextensions.uuids pref on the about:config page.

Hello! I think what cor-el means is that the link in your screenshot is coming from a browser extension (see also: Tips for assessing the safety of an extension, Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems )

You can check what extension that is by: Open a New Tab> Type in about:debugging and press Enter> Click This Firefox on the left> The extensions your are using are listed under Extensions, look which extension has the same UUID as the link in your screenshot

It is not an internet based website, but it's a page generated by an extension. Looks that you need to login to some server to be able to use the extension and have saved this login and in that case Firefox uses the moz-extension://{UUID} link for the URL as that is the URL of the page from the extension.

Note the such moz-extension links are quite fragile as an uninstall and reinstall of an extension changes its UUID and also problems with prefs.js can cause the UUID to get lost as this causes extensions.webextensions.uuids to get reset/cleared.

Can someone be clearer on the reply? Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I have a dummy page for creating/saving logins for testing. Don't use any real info here, abc123 is fine:

On the Passwords page, the saved logins should show with the real site address. Do those work, or is the address corrupted/substituted?

By the way, your browser identified itself in an unusual way:

Something is adding that last part, which could be an add-on, or external software that intercepts and proxies your web access.

Any ideas about what "Trailer" might refer to??

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check ‘’’Resist Fingerprinting’’’ on the ‘’’about:config’’’ page as this affects the user agent?

STILL NO LUCK

The password has the "Eye" that should show it to you the password. The top seems to be some kinda web address. So what is the actual site that shown not numbers? You have to click the "Eye" to see your password. And what extension are you using that it would show that?

You didn't list your troubleshooting data including installed extensions and you also didn't answer the suggestion to check "This Firefox" on the about:debugging page to see what extension has the "3b4a3f36-7056-4eee-bcb3-2b0838fa07e1" UUID.

This info is also available on the about:config page in the extensions.webextensions.uuids pref. You can type 'uuid' without the quotes in the search bar at the top of the about:config page.
