I need to search a site that I saw on my Ipad, I dont search much on my Ipad so I know that I will find it there, cant remember the name but I know is there. The problem is that Firefox Sync puts everything together, Phone, Desktop and iPad. Any idea on how to see the History per Device?

I am using Firefox Developer Edition in a work environment that only saves directories between weekly restarts by explicitly managed rules. As a result of some missing folders from my weekly restarts, I need to sign in to my Firefox account and enable sync each week. Currently my machine retains the %APPDATA%/Mozilla and %LOCALAPPDATA%/Mozilla directories + children.

What other directories are needed by Firefox Developer Edition in Windows to retain the user profile/syncing, et. al.?

Thank you for your time!

Sometimes notifications received on Android Firefox about the tabs sent from a desktop Firefox using "Send tab" function don't do anything when tapped.

If the Firefox is open then tapping brings it to the front. If not, Firefox is started with the previously opened tabs but the page that was sent from another device is not opened. The URL is clearly visible in the notification but it is ignored. I have to type it in manually.

This only happens occasionally, most of the time the notifications work as expected but when they don't it's a major frustration because there's no way to retrieve the URLs.

Fresh install of Kodachi Linux 8.27, added Firefox straight away. New version is supposed to Sync automatically I guess, but it doesn't. I'm logged in to my Firefox account, I got all my bookmarks and synced tabs, but no extensions. This worked fine changing OS's in the past, including moving to Kodachi, Ubuntu, Kali, or Debian, or different versions of Windows. Suddenly Firefox should Sync itself, and it doesn't. How do I get all my extensions back? I had an easy 50 or 60 extensions, and there is no possible way I'm going to reinstall 50 different addons, assuming I could possibly remember what they all were...

Any help (WITHOUT reinstalling every single one)?

I have two laptops and a mobile phone that are connected to Firefox and have sync operating. One the laptops shows a location of Wrexham which is approximately correct. The other shows a location of Boardman, OR, United States, a place some 6000 miles away and of which I have never heard. Googling the location gives me no useful information, other than it is a small town with no special characteristics. A screenshot of part of the Firefox Accounts page illustrates what the situation is.

The laptop stated as in Boardman has a location set within Windows. That is not Wrexhan but is only a few miles from there.

I have used iplocation.net which gives me the location of my ISP, in England.

I sometimes use a VPN (for work) and when being used iplocation.net gives a different English location which I think is the locaton of the ISP for my Employer.

I am unsure what is going on here nor do I know what implications there are for my security. I do not seem to be able to fix this.

Can anyone help, please?

Sup!

So I had to perform an emergency reinstallation of windows on my laptop and silly me only backed up documents and photos and such. I use firefox for a lot of stuff. Got lots of bookmarks and saved passwords on my sync account. And now like many others I'm looking for a way to login to my sync account without having to "reset" it which I've been told deletes all my data for security purposes. I'm fine with that. Happy it's safe. However, there's a possibility that both the sync account along with my registered email's password was used by the password generator which complicates things. I can reset the email password however since it's gmail.

I am aware that my data is encrypted WITH the password I used at account creation. However, just a shot in the dark here anyway and see if there is a way to recover the sync account. Thanks <3
