Since the latest update in Firefox, I am forced to compose new messages or reply or forward in a new window in Firefox, which I access with a pop-up window that appears on the page where I previously would simply respond. This is not happening in Edge and only started with the Mozilla 99 update.

When downloading files, FF opens a window to file manager. The window enables user to choose the download directory. But the window extends past the right side of the monitor, thus the "save" button is not displayed. Thus, files cannot be saved.

I started using Linux Mint a few months ago, and since then have had issues with opening Firefox on startup. The attached image shows roughly what Firefox does the first time I try to open it after starting my computer. I usually have to close and re-open it 5-10 times before it will launch properly. At this point, I usually manually recover my previous session. Does anybody know of a potential fix to this problem? I have tried updating Firefox and have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

I saw someone else who also had Windows 7 like I do ask about this error message, and the only answer was "Update Thunderbird." Just like me, he had Thunderbird 3.1.4. There was no follow up saying it worked.

Will the current version of Thunderbird *run* under Win 7? Or not? Updating my OS on my primary PC is not an option. 98% of Thunderbird works just fine, the only issue I have is that I can't download images in emails. I'm afraid to upgrade, and break Thunderbird.

Yes, I have a Win 10 laptop, but it's too inconvenient to use it most of the time, so it stays in the box until I have something I *have* to use it for. That does not include daily email.

I receive messages from the Guardian newspaper and LinkedIn and the hyperlinks do not work. I went to safe mode and still the same.

The bar at the top is green, when I click on a hyperlink it changes to a light grey. Firefox is set as my preferred browser.

Help or a solution would be very welcome.

I've upgraded to Firefox 99 (on Linux) and a website that works fine in Firefox 88 and Chromium 101 has stopped working for me - I can't get the log in form to show up.

This is in a standard window (as opposed to private) with all add ons disabled, Enhanced Tracking Protection switched off for the site and protection settings set to 'Custom' with everything switched off (and same with protection settings set to 'Standard').

I'm having similar problems with other websites, eg

in a private window (but weirdly works fine in a standard window) - click on 'Example protein sequence' to fill in a sample sequence and then press 'Search'. In a standard window this works but in a private window the 'Search' button doesn't work. (If the search button does work for you, please delete the job afterwards by clicking on the rubbish bin/trashcan icon so as not waste their resources.)

I have setup my business office mail address with the owl extension. When I try to send an e-mail a error message pops up that Thunderbird couldn't put a copy into the sent folder. So I wanted to place the copy only in the local sent folder, but the settings is grayed out and I can't change anything.

When I look at my personal microsoft mail with @outlook.de I can change everything and the setting is picked correctly out of the box

I am hitting a rare issue where some requests don't seem to complete (uploading files).

Unsure if the issue is at network level or in the JS code of the website I am using.

What is the best way to troubleshoot those requests that don't seem to complete?

In the Web Developer tools there's nothing under the Timing section.

• When I try to print a webpage using Firefox, the page enlarges 4x and therefore I only get 1/4 of the webpage on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. If I change my browser to Chrome or IE, it prints correctly. If I scroll to the bottom of the Firefox Print Dialog window and select "Print using system dialog" it also works correctly.
• I have the zoom set to 100 and the Print Dialog paper size set to Letter, It is set to print to page width, I tried it with Scale 100 but it didn't help. I also went to about: config and checked that the paper size and scaling were set to 1.
• The the picture of the Print Preview looks exactly like should be when printed, but when it is sent to the Lexmark S505 printer the size is too large.

Since I print 50-100 individual webpages a week, I cannot use Firefox if this can't be corrected.

I previously had a firefox account signed into the browser, I removed it. I no longer wanted it attached.

But since then, EVERY time I open settings, it is highlighted asking me to reconnect and resume syncing. I click "Remove account" multiple times, then a couple hours later its back! With the highlight prompt again.

I cleared the apps cache too. Any ideas? See image attached.

Thunderbird v. 91.8.1 MacOSX Monterey 12.3.1 I keep getting this error message. "Unable to connect to your IMAP server. You may have exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server. If so use the Advanced IMAP Server Settings dialog to reduce the number of cached connections" I have reduce the connections in 'Advanced' Server settings' to 1 but the problem persists. I downloaded Firefox a while ago and it would work and just a few hours ago I had completely restored my pc to see if it improves issues I had and speed, but the same issues I was having with Firefox are still happening. When first downloaded it runs for maybe 2 seconds then crashes and if you try to re open it, you either cant or see it pop up in the task bar only to go away the next second like a flicker. I've deleted and redownloaded it already and I cant find the crash report on my pc even from the Win + R so I was wondering if anybody ever had an issue like this and how they fixed it.

I have since a few weeks errorcodes showing up at my screen whenever i want to visit a website where videocontent is to see( like if you want to visit reddit and watch a video or something like that).I´ve didn´t do or didn´t visit anything special when it came up, it just came and now its there.I´ve also tried different things from the help articles that could solve the problem, didn´t do anything. It says in its message "secure connection failed". The problem is also on every browser, not only on firefox

I am able to install Firefox, but as soon as I try to open it, after a second a window pops up for probably about 1 frame, and is barely visible. I have tried all of the things I could, but am not able to fix this.

I began having trouble w/Firefox browser yesterday evening. I submitted details several times. Completed lengthy Win 10 update. Today, Firefox icon in Task Bar is requiring Google log-in? Have no idea why or how to fix.

I'm unable to check out when I'm signed into my accounts at target & clinique.com.Target say my checkout page is slowing down firefox-click stop -I click stop&I cannot check out.

thunderbird 91.9.1 in Win 10 Uninstall & reinstall I have a issue with in-coming emails, as they load they go from BOLD to marked as read. I have tried everything I can think of. If I delete Thunderbird (using windows "Uninstall") and install a fresh copy will my setting stay? Barry

When switching on Thunderbird 91.8.1 (64bit) today, it immediately downloaded mail from my IMAP account followed by the message "Server not found - start.thunderbird.net could not be found. Please check the name and try again. Check typing errors / network connection / firewall / proxy etc." Selecting 'Try again' simply opened the 'Welcome' overlay leaving the client operating as before.

This is a first as far as I can remember. But in the midst of the other more problematical events that have been occurring, (see my previous question, recently updated discussing possible Settings errors retained in the Profile): 'Exporting folders with ImportExportTools NG' https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1373167

Can anyone suggest if there is any link between these events - and confirm a solution that would clean or replace the profile but leave (or restore) the messages and folders unchanged ?

So even on a unprotected machine, some webpages VERY slow to load but not all. My internet provider, Virginmedia, is also my email provider and sometimes this email homepage times out. Had the same problem with win 10 and did think, wrongly, that installing win 11 would cure this. It did not. Any ideas on this. A good friend is a computer tech so you can get technical. In `task manger` anti virus etc has been stopped.

On MacOS, that page loads and is momentarily visible; then the page/tab it's loaded in goes blank. On Linux, that page loads as expected and remains visible.

Notes:

The problem did not happen with Firefox 88.0.1/MacOS.

The problem does not happen with Firefox 98.0.2/Linux, i.e., it appears to be specific to MacOS.

The problem remains whether extensions are enable or disabled (one a time or all at once).

The problem remains after the cache has been flushed and pages have been reloaded.

The problem remains after Firefox has been (completely) shut down and (cleanly) restarted.

The problem does not happen with Chrome/Chromium on either MacOS or Linux.

The problem also happens on *some* other pages on CNN's site (but not all) and on *some* (but not all) pages of other sites but there doesn't seem to be a pattern that explains which URLs exhibit it and which don't. This suggests that it's not privacy settings or extensions or anything like that, because there's no reason for those to vary from page to page within any one site.

If I'm VERY fast on hitting the "X" that stops a page loading/rendering while in progress, and I get the timing just right, I can catch it before the page/tab goes blank. So it appears that Firefox is in fact fetching all the content and can render it, but then for some reason is blanking the page/tab once that's done.

The attached screenshot shows what the problematic page (from step 2 above) looks like on Linux. On MacOS it's blank, so I didn't include a screenshot of that.
