Hello, I'm using Firefox 100.0.2 (OS: Ubuntu 20.04). It is not possible to manage if/when firefox updates are installed. In the options-section, there are some information about the current version number, however no chance to configure anything update-related. Updates just happens automatically and interrupt current sessions, leading to spontaneous (and surprising) dysfunction of the opened browser. That's very annoying in case of video conferencing, for example, because it is not possible to open any new tab or windows, always the note there "you have to restart firefox now" - in practice, just like a crashing error. And, the suggested restart does not re-open the current opened tabs/URLs!

Furthermore, within some updates, my language settings get lost, so it turns to English language automatically and I always must add my language packet manually again and again. Thats really annoying and maybe completely disruptive for people that are not able to read in English!

Is there any chance to come over this? Otherwise I guess I must leave using firefox as browser, however this would be not the aim I actually follow. Thx!

My shortcut display had frequently visited websites shown and these have been replaced by several sponsored shortcuts I am not interested in. Plus, my saved user names and passwords are not loading even though they are still stored. I don't understand what happened, why these have changed, or how to restore what I previously had on shortcuts. I am not a tech savvy person and am stumped and looking for help

Hey! I think to migrate from Vivaldi but only couple of things stops me. I used to split some tabs in one screen there and looks like I can't find any good addons for that. There is one addon Tile Tabs WE but it is not what I need, I want to tabs be still along other tabs, I can detach them and place on my screen by myself without such addons but that's uncomfortable to use.

I'm unable to get Lloyds bank to recognize that cookies are enabled. I've tried clearing cache+history etc but no joy. Having tried the Lloyds bank cookies page and enabling cookies still no joy and login refused. Standard setting in Security & Privacy and advised resets all tried multiple times. Anything to do with "trusted" device? Trust prompt not reissued after resetting everything. Had to use Chrome to login - and got the "trust this device" prompt on first use.

Hi there! Well, another company told my business partner that their product does not like Firefox so we should use Chrome and maybe Edge. First, that is a crock, but seems to be a standard answer from anyone in the business world, sadly. I would not trust Edge or Chrome, especially those two, if they were the last platforms on earth. So, help pretty please?

Is there a setting that we can use that will assist in using RSMeans Online Version so it will work more effectively? Whenever we get an error message or it just won't open, they blame it on Firefox.

At random, whenever use a search box on a page, Firefox will lock up. The "loading" icon on the tab will animate as normal, but the entire window won't respond. If I press the show desktop button and then try to reveal Firefox, none of the windows will appear. I'd have to go into Windows Task Manager and be lucky enough to terminate the correct process containing the tab, or else I'd have to start all over again.

Hello... EVERY time I try to sign into my Yahoo email, I have to go through hoops to actually get there. When I click the box that says ...never ask on this device again, your system ignores it. This "Added Security" is not helpful. nor is it adding any security to anything. All you are doing is making me look for other web browsers. Google Chrome does not do this. Safari does not do this. Opera does not do this. I do not need to be contacted via text message, OR ANY OTHER WAY, to gain access to MY email account. Stop holding me hostage!!

Please tell me how to get rid of this absolutely horrible "feature."

When I start typing URL's in Firefox, it will only ever suggest the URL so far as the top level domain. For instance, I frequently visit trakt.tv/dashboard. But when I type "tr" into the URL bar, Firefox only ever suggests trakt.tv - I have to manually press the forward arrow key and type in "/d" in order for it to autofill the rest. It doesn't matter how many time I type the full URL in or even the fact that I've deleted all history only visited trakt.tv/dashboard, Firefox will still only autofill trakt.tv

Is there some about:config setting I can change to make Firefox recognize and prioritize specific frequently visited URL's over just top level domains?

I tried printing in FIREFOX while using PDF and receipts from Amazon and HP. each time the fonts are HUGE, but not if I use Chrome or Edge. Tried your suggestions and that didn't help. I see another user has had the same exact issue with no avail. I'd really like to get this issued fixed. I like FIREFOX and want to use it whenever possible, but being unable to print makes it a problem. I would appreciate a real solution. Thank you in advance, Alan.

The Washington Post has a feature on some articles called "Listen", where the article is read aloud on the device audio. I often use this because my vision is not as good as it used to be, and I can listen while I perform other tasks (e.g., cook). I do use the Malwarebytes add-on, but it doesn't work even when I disable it and the FF tracking protection is turned off.

It does work in both Edge and Chrome, with Malwarebytes enabled.

This is very disappointing ...

After Format my laptop, I install Firefox and forget password after Reset password all fine then enter email and password to Sync all data but, I don't see any data this data have a lot of passwords and bookmarks, How can I FIX IT????

Hello Team,

gmail page initially loads in firefox and then doesn't get updated at all. Upon trying to refresh it just gets stuck at Google workspace initialization section. After that under new tab, google.com also doesn't work. Please fix this.
