If I mark a message as Unread, it appears in the list of messages in boldface type. But I am finding it very hard to distinguish those in bold from other messages that have been read and are not bold. Is there anything in advanced settings that would allow me to change the fill colour in the listing box, or perhaps the colour of the type, in order to distinguish unread messages more visibly from those I have read? Thanks!

Hello. I just have a general question. I have read about it a little but I get mixed info. Some say yes, some say no.... So, is it possible to get a virus or malware or any of that spyware stuff on mobile phones like you can on a computer? Particularly Android phones. They have all these anti-virus apps and stuff you can download saying they're designed specifically for Android mobile devices but then I have read articles that say that the Android operating system is not the same as, let's say, a Windows PC operating system so it's not possible to download spyware onto it. I'm just curious and appreciate any info. Thank you!!

Bonjour, Depuis 2 changements d'ordinateur qui ont pour navigateur Morzilla (Lenovo Thinkpad E15 (sous W10) et E16 (sous W11) le nombre de messages affichés sur la colonne de gauche ne correspond aux messages visibles sur l'espace de lecture (a droite) ce qui fait de Thinderbird une messagerie absolument pas fiable. Pouvez-vous me préciser s'il y a une manipulation pour voir afficher tous les messages pour correspondre a nombre mentiosur la colonne de gauche  ?

No, there's no such option in settings. No, removing updater physically does not stop pop-ups. No, there's nothing in about:config to shut up the updates.

For Firefox team:

No, your updates ruin the browser, more and more, I think I'm about to switch to Pale Moon instead.

I'm using Firefox 141.0 on OpenSuse Tumbleweed with KDE and Wayland. I'm using Firefox with two profiles: work and personal - which is (usually) awesome, until suddenly it's not.

Then, one or both profiles seem to become corrupted, and closing firefox, opening it, choosing either profile just hangs forever. My old tabs show up, but clicking on any tab, for any site, just hangs forever, and no page is ever loaded. Sometimes restarting helps, but sometimes not. Sometimes restarting 2 or 3 times and then suddenly it will work. But normally, I have to just delete all my profiles, and re-create them. Fortunately everything is synced with Firefox sync. Then everything will work wonderfully for a bit - although I have to re-login to everything.  :-(

Any ideas? This is a huge pain and productivity killer. I really love firefox, but this sucks.

I installed Firefox on my M4 Mac and it was in English, now it's in some other langue and I can't change it back. I deleted it, and reinstalled, same issue.

I cannot get it installed in English and have it remain in English. Please help.

Google suggestion in Firefox's address bar keep showing Japanese suggestions even though I chose English and Canada as language and location with my google account.

I use same google account with google chrome, but google chrome doesn't show Japanese suggestion.

As for setting on Firefox, I unticked other than "show search suggestions".

How do I resolve it?

I am getting the following error message when using Firefox. The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem. I cannot see my bookmarks or add new ones. I followed the directions in articles about this problem and they did not. help. I decided to uninstall Firefox and l re-installed it from scratch and i still get the same error message.

Where are my shortcut tiles? I used CCleaner and they all disappeared and I can't get them back even though I make sure they were on and have 2 rows selected and restarted my computer since. This happened last week and still no sign of them. See pic for reference.

Hi, it's many year that I moving manually messages to folders located on a NAS. Everything has always been fine, but today I've discovered that, despite searching funcion is regularly finding all the messages, if I try to open them they show a blank body (see image attached)

Hello, I tried following the steps on [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer]. However, I currently have a flatpak installation where I land in a folder which also has executable among other files (?). I do not see the usually named profile folder and therefore cannot copy it to my new computer. Do you know how I can move in this case? Thanks

Is it possible to change the account name in "Account Settings" without any issues and will this make the mail folders accounts panel on left of the screen show the newly entered name for folders and sub-folders under sent, archive, etc?

The reason I ask is because I think it is ok to initially name the account as whatever I want, as I think the account name is for my own use only, but I'm not sure if changing an existing account name may cause issues or if TB uses the account name for anything.
