I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

I simply want to use a password to open Firefox. I don't want to set up Firefox sync. How can I set up a simple password as permission to open Firefox without accessing sync?

When I open Firefox and want to go to Private. I go to the three lines at the top right of the Firefox page. I go down to Private. Then after selecting it, YET ANOTHER REGULAR FIREFOX PAGE OPENS. I NEVER had this problem until the start of 2024.

Please help as I used to have FIREFOX PRIVATE as my go to browser. Now, I use others and they do not work with some pages.

Please help as it is frustrating to keep getting a new Regular page.

Hi, like other users on this help service, I recently lost the ability to send smtp gmails on one specific gmail account, but receiving emails was OK. Every attempt to send brought a "send failed - enter new password" dialog box. I looked at a great number of "solutions" before I found one which almost worked, but I have modified/clarified it and post it here for others to try. First off, look at passwords in Settings, and check that you have an 0Auth2 password - very long and not anything you chose. Then go to Server settings, scroll down the left hand pane past all the accounts listed until you find "Outgoing Server (SMTP) and click on it. This lists your outgoing SMTP accounts. Highlight the one for the account which is not sending and click on "Edit" Change the authentication method to 0Auth2. OK your way back. Now go back to your displayed passwords and copy the 0Auth2 password from the incoming password box and paste it in the SMTP password box for the problem account. Now close TB and restart. When I did all this, it began to send emails again. Hope it helps someone else.

When logging into an account there are multiple usernames (incorrect or older.) I would like to remove or delete them, but keep the current passwords.

Is that possible without deleting the account?

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff

The story is when I accidentally clicked on a sick video, YouTube start to recommend me similar sick videos.

So my question is how does YouTube get my identity?

I'm not logged in. my profile is actually a snapshot, so when I restart Firefox, it go back to the snapshot. I even restarted my ISP router to get a new IP address. This did not work.

Only when I create a new profile with "firefox -P" does YouTube start to see me as a new person.

So how does YouTube identify my Firefox profile? I don't think it's in the https request headers. Weird.

I'm new to firefox and would like to set cloudflare for DNS over HTTPS but there seems to be an issue. If I set it to NextDNS the connection stays active. But if I set it to cloudflare it goes inactive with the error (NS_ERROR_NET_TIMEOUT_EXTERNAL). I tried setting a custom DNS to OpenDNS and got the same error.

I'm running Manjaro Linux if that make a difference.

As I mention above that we have different ecommerce products which we only want to sell in Qatar but we are getting some other countries traffic like USA, Pakistan, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, so how we can block these countries or anything in Google Search Console which help to keep the website with country specific?

Is there any specific Mozilla Firefox extension that you recommend or any HTML code help to block other country traffic?

 One of my email accounts Yahoo or Gmail appears to have been hacked. I received two phishing emails this week --3 if you count the last one who said she was calling on behalf of Medicare/Social Security and All members could get a preloaded card for several hundred dollars. I knew there was a plan to help certain folks, but it was not available to everybody. I asked her for the name of the plan and she hung up. the webpage she sent me to first or told me to go there where I could talk to a licensed agent. Do people who answer the phone have a license like insurance salespeople? Anyway, they had copied the govt. the site is right up the US sea.

but it did something as I can't use my password They cancel your account if you tell them the truth --better just to say I need help resetting my password. They then ask you to send them a picture ID as in Driver's License. Noway I am going to do this --so I have at least some pretty valuable info if I can't get in.

On my Win 7 box, Thunderbird seems to be having access issues with my profiles. It can only find my profiles when running in administrator mode. I've tried resetting security info on several files, but have not found the right one. How can I find the culprit?

I am using Firefox version 125.0.3(64-bit). I am not able to access my saved passwords. It is asking me to log in when I am already logged in to my Firefox account. When using Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode I can access my saved passwords. How do I solve this problem? Moreover I am unable to add a Primary Password to protect my saved passwords. I have never tried to add a primary password before this problem.

I have imported a public key in my openpgp key-management/ In my settings of the end -to-end keys: preference of key technology: choose auto the key technology by the available keys. I have read openpgp standard supports inline en s/mime encryption but what is used by thunderbird when I choose openpgp as key encryption when i type/send an email (w/o attachment by myself). I ask it because my correspondent only decrypts inline encryption.

Hi I have been using firefox on linux for a while without updating it. We are artsellers and I used to be able to log in and out of an artplatform without any problems. It's now been a few weeks since logging out is not possible any more on this platform which means that I am constantly logged in which I really do not want. The menu does not work anymore on this side whereas it works with other browers. I already contacted the platform. They cannot do anything about it themselves and asked me to contact your team. How do I disable automatic translation of Thunderbird messages by Deep-L (or any other machine translator)? This morning I received an email from a family member, written in German. Underneath the original message was an automated translation into English by Deep-L. I didn´t ask for this translation. I speak German as a second language, as well as other languages, and I enjoy using my linguistic abilities. Furthermore, I don´t like my private messages being passed to a database without my permission. If I want a translation of a message, I´ll ask for it.

This is evidently a new, annoying feature. I had an email exchange in German with someone just a few weeks ago without this intervention. I have tried searching the settings tab on Thunderbird, but have not discovered anything about Translation settings (not under Language settings, as far as I can see).

How do I disable Thunderbird sending emails for unwanted translation? Thank you for your assistance.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

There is a serious problem. Some entity is downloading apps on my phone that are tracking me and stealing information off of my phone and they have made it so that I cannot delete the apps and they came put in a plain van and ran cables from our internet box outside to the other box and ever since then they have had access to our wireless internet, our Apple t.v, our computers and our phones and I have tried to factory reset my phone but they just download the same apps over again and it messes my phone up again. That is the problem.

There are a few websites (e.g., https://thehermitagehotel.com/) that show up as a white screen (see attached) when I visit them from Firefox using my usual settings, but show up correctly if I use Firefox in private browsing mode. Turning off enhanced tracking protection does not resolve the problem. My browser privacy in Settings is set to "Custom" with everything checked, but changing to Standard and reloading the site does not fix the issue. As I noted above, the only thing that works is to open the site in private browsing mode. Most sites work fine. This problem is limited to 2-3 websites. My version of Firefox is 125.0.1 .

I've been having issues with the websites that I commonly go to no longer appear on the autosuggest list. Websites I haven't gone to for ten years appear when I type in a given sequence rather than more common ones. Website that I go to every day no longer appear.
