For a long time now I had been able to access this webpage using Firefox: https://weather.bom.gov.au/location/r3gx0kn-alexandria . In recent months the browser does not even recognise anything has been typed in. On the other hand, Bing (my back-up browser) does take me to the site. It came to Firefox for a day or two earlier this month but is gone again. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Hi there, I have a new computer working under Ubuntu. When using Firefox I often have a problem with the characters which appear when I open webpages or even read pdf documents. This isssue does not seem to happen in a very consistent way (some websites will appear correctly one day and incorrectly another day). I include below a screenshot as example. The problem does not seem to appear with chromium... If you have any idea about how to fix this I would be very grateful Thanks Michael

The control page of my locally connected printer at 192.168.1.5 is being blocked as a "dangerous" site because it doesn't have a valid certificate as a web site. It's literally RIGHT NEXT TO MY COMPUTER! No path to the public internet is involved! How can I make this an exception (i.e. a "trusted site") to the certificate error blocking routine? I don't want to drop certificate checking for OUTSIDE web pages, just the one that controls my printer (the same IP address is accessible for printing and scanning, but not for editing my printer's options).

The frame for the printer's home page displays but with no data, and no data is displayed when anything is clicked. I've tried to add a screen shot but it doesn't upload.

When I open a new tab and press either [↑] or [↓] or click in the location bar (the blank space where the URL goes), a dropdown list appears. See attached screenshot for the list.

There are some frequently visited sites like gmail. There is one bookmarked site I frequently access. In the screenshot, this is the one with the blue star. And then there's the mysterious URL to an html on my Linux Mint computer ("/home/[...]/[...].html”). The icon for this is a gray thumbtack.

I press the down key until this mysterious URL is selected, and then press Delete, but it doesn’t get deleted.

What is this and how do I get rid of it? I tried searching for it in my Bookmarks, but I don’t think it’s a bookmark.

I'm on Firefox 81.0 (64-bit) Linux Mint. But I've had this problem for many versions now.

I tried using Thunderbird to check my Office 365 email, with the following settings

IMAP: outlook.office365.com Port: 143 SSL: STARTTLS

SMTP: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 SSL: STARTTLS

Normal Password

All the settings are retried by Thunderbird once I enter the IMAP and SMTP details.

However upon clicking done, there will be a message saying "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password"

I have verified the username and password is correct, and also IMAP enabled for this account, but keep getting password wrong message.

It works fine in Chrome and Edge. The weather.com website loads just fine but the radar data (overlay on a map) will not load. IT WORKS FINE IN SAFE MODE. So i tried to disable all of my plug-in's, extensions and hardware acceleration in Firefox in regular mode. Still doesn't work. I created a new profile. Still doesn't work. I disabled the tracker feature in Firefox on that web page. Still doesn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash. Still doesn't work. Any ideas???

I have a Win7/Ubuntu dual boot PC. Before I reinstalled Win7, I reinstalled TB on my D drive (in "D:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird"). I also moved my (very large) TB profile to D:\TBirdProfile. Then, I booted into Ubuntu 20.04, installed TB and pointed the Ubuntu TB to D:\TBirdProfile. Viola, it worked after much dinking around. Now I have reinstalled Win7 and reinstalled the Win7 TB program to "D:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird" The problem is that when I reinstalled Win7 TB, it created a new profile. I don't want a new profile and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to make thunderbird -p point to my old profile. There are dozens of similar questions on the internet but none of them clarify what specific keys to type to tell TB "Use this profile, not that one!" I've done the %APPDATA% fix but still no luck. I did it under Ubuntu so it can't be that hard, but the steps are so un-intuitive I can't recall how I did it in Ubuntu. I'll gladly make a donation to the TB fund if someone can help me. Thanks

Just upgrade from TB 68 to 78. Everything looks okay so far, except for one new feature I do not like at all. When mouse hovering over the list of messages in a mailbox, the message under the mouse pointer is highlighted the same as if it had been selected. Is there any way to turn this off or to change the highlight color? It has already caused me to accidentally delete a few messages I did not intend to delete. I really don't like this "feature" and am considering going back to TB 68 if I can't find a way to disable it or alter its behavior.

My issue is the lack of a heads-up from Mozilla Thunderbird about the downside to upgrading (I use the term loosely) from 68 to 78. Where was the warning that the add-ons I was using would not work (and now, months later that there are STILL NO UPDATES to v78-compatible add-ons). I was not aware that there were profile and database changes that would occur making for problems for lots of users.

The forum is full of comments about these points so I'm not going to belabor with further feedback but I would like to emphasize that Thunderbird may very well have signed it's own obsolesence warrant for failing to take its customers base real needs into account. Fortunately for me a roll-back to 68 was easy since I had just done a full image backup.

I'm not really looking for "help" or a solution to a particular problem. But, respectfully, WTH were you thinking?
