Having used Thunderbird for some time, I installed it on a new PC, and found that virtually all my emails on a particular account seem to have been deleted, despite the app being set up to retain them. I checked on the webmail (BT) and they have gone. The account is set up as IMAP - as is another account on the same server, which seems OK. BT won't engage with me on this as they "don't support third party apps" I assume that 3 years worth of important client history is gone for ever? Can anyone suggest what I did wrong, or is this a software failure?

In your reply to my previous question, I checked with the Bank... their tech people checked it is coming from the firefox Mozilla side of communications. Firefox is stopping the copying process on my browser. Keeps coming up Error- reset tab or close. Mozilla NEEDS to FIX this Problem immediately. It may be time to give up on Mozilla/FireFox. Been there for years, and now having several issues. Please advise?

I also posted this under "Tabs."

All of a sudden I started getting a strange download message, a download which didn't show up when I looked for it. Since then, when I press "+ New Tabs," a new tab doesn't open. A new tab opens only when I've clicked on a new link for a topic.

I cleared the cache, restarted my phone twice and un-and re-installed Firefox twice. I was originally synced with Firefox on my other phones, but I don't want to sign in again with that email until this problem is fixed. I haven't opened Firefox again on my previous phones since this all started. I'm going to cry if those versions are "infected" with this problem as well. I just can't erase all the data I've previously accumulated within Firefox on those devices, either.

Now I've looked in Firefox Support for this problem and I've looked again and again for a way to restart in Safe Mode, but I can't find it. Could someone please help me diagnose and fix this issue?

Its bad enough the latest version hides my return email and I have to search for it. Now I just had to resign up for all my emails! If its not bad enough to have all my email passwords lost, how about when you try to valid it with a return address? TBird is locked up waiting for the email vendor to finish restoring my account and will not retrieve my access codes from another. I had to log on to every different site to get my codes! I am officially looking for a new client to handle my email. I had you for many years, but you blew it! I notice you are offering new service, but I don't need fancy calendars, I simply need a client that will reliably send and receive my email. Besides, if you are spending your time on new features, I assume you are not fixing the important issues, like this, that you caused, by trying to add on more features, like dumping my return email where I can't find it.

This is the error message I get for the last two weeks. Matt at Mozilla did not solve problem. Have rebooted system, unplugged everything several times still unable to send email.

Help.

I have posted up to yesterday requests for help with Thunderbird to both mail.gmail.com and to Thunderbird. Part was solved by gmail but they said that for slowness to contact Thunderbird. I got a notice things were solved and this morning both the pop.gmail.com (downloading posts with Thunderbird) and the smtp.gmail.com (sending posts with Thunderbird) were fast as usual - few seconds. I sent about 35 posts and only the first took two second. This evening the sending posts from my Thunder bird (of the desktop computers - 10 posts during an hour) take about two minutes. Sending from the smartphone take a second.

I am SICK OF EATCHING THAT WHEEL GO ROUND AND ROUND. What is most frustrating is your damned "Update" looser, piggy-backed of of a windows update. I DID NOT want an update, because you idiots cant create a update that doesnt screw up every aspect of peoples browsing or interne5 experience. To m,ake it worse, you cowards hide. There is no way to contact a HUMAN, your help is a bunch of questions that are never answered by [redacted]. Since nobody can write a workable update, Get a job at a fast food joint, and hire people who give a damn, an can actually write something that [redacted] WORKS!!!!!!! I'm on my second ay trying to un-[redacted] your mess. How about sending me an email with a contact to a human with a functional brain. Yesterday, David suggested that I find out 1) what are my incoming server settings, 2) my STMP, and 3) to report any error messages. When I contacted the company from which I have broadband, their reply to 1) and 2) was that it was Mozilla Thunderbird that could reply as they did not have that informaion), and in regards to error messages, i have received none, except where, "Send now" appeared before, there is a chubby pen leaning to the right, followed by the word "write, (subject), and "Thunderbird." I have not been able to send an email for almost a week. What is the matter?

Hello, so i have a hp laptop running on windows 11. I have 2 different wifi sources here at my home, one of them is a DSL zyxel modem from century link & the other is a Verizon internet gateway that runs off of cell towers. I recently logged into both of them to configure some of the settings etc. and in the past when i only had the DSL wifi, i would log into it via file explorer>network>network interface and then select the router & would automatically be taken to the login page. For the verizon wifi, i had to go into the browser searchbar ,while being connected to that network, and enter the default IP address of 192.168.0.1 and it would take me to the login page. I first logged into the DSL network and then for the first time ever, into the verizon one, and now when i try to login to the DSL network via my traditional method & also by inputting its IP address into the searchbar (both routers have the same default address to access setup), it takes me to the verizon login page regardless if im connected to it or not. If i input the DSL modems IP address into Edge browser while connected to it, it takes me to the correct login page for that network which leads me to believe that somehow something is messed up with my firefox browser. Ive already tried going into the saved passwords and deleting the saved verizon login info. Any other ideas as to what it could be? Thanks, JD

I can no longer send e-letters, though I can receive them. "Send now" has been replaced with an icon resembling a pen balanced diagonally, i.e.: "/", but pressing on that icon gives no result. What must I do to be able to send e-letters again?
