I have been a "light theme" user for 15+ years. Since updating to 96.0 today, a dark mode spreading across Firefox has been forced onto me, including:

  • New tab background
  • Background of any tab waiting to load a page
  • Google/Youtube background
  • Settings/add-ons/password menu backgrounds
  • Automatic username/password drop-down background
  • Background of the little box that appears on the bottom-left (the one which shows the URL when you mouse over a link)

I am unhappy with this and wish to have my usual theme back. Can anyone please assist?

(In addition, there is some sort of white border around the current tab, which I do not like)

When I compose/write a new email the text correctly displays the font and size I have selected In PREFERENCES -COMPOSITION - HTML STYLE which is Times New Roman with FONT SIZE selected as Medium.

However when I view the very same email composed with line and length and breaks fitting Times New Roman Medium in my SENT box the font and size has been changed to what appears to be a HELVETICA font with the SIZE being larger than medium and this causes sentence wraparounds and corruption of the entire appearance of the email composed/written

How and what do I set to ensure the compose/write fonts display the same in SENT/RECEIVED.

I have just installed Thunderbird 91.11.0 (64-Bit) on Kubuntu 22.04 LTS.

I would like to have all of my message folders have the following columns:

Attachments, Subject, Received, Size

I can make the change easily enough, but they keep reverting to the default columns. This happens whenever I change folders and return. Sometimes I can actually *see* them change. For example, if I set my desired columns for my Inbox, and then change to a different folder and back to Inbox, I'll see my desired columns - and then they'll change back to the defaults a few seconds later.

I would actually like to apply these same settings to all of my folders. To do that, I have used "Apply columns to..." and selected "Folder and its children" and selected the account at the top of the folder list. I have also tried just applying the view to Inbox.

None of this works. It insists on using the default column list, which I do not want. Ever.

I'll note that this is a new install of both Kubuntu and Thunderbird. This machine suffered major file corruption a couple of days ago from a power loss during an upgrade. To recover, I clean installed everything from scratch into a newly formatted disk.

This machine was previously running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with an unknown version of Thunderbird (since the machine crashed, I lost the version information). That install did not have this problem.

I would appreciate any suggestions to make a permanent change to the column layout.

Thanks, -Wade

Prior to FF97 a simply setting to "false" the about:config, print.tab_modal.enabled setting allowed FF to always use the system dialog box when printing. However, in FF97, this is no longer the case. How can I set FF97 to always use the system print dialog box??

I almost always use Preview printing on my Macs to avoid multiple pages of garbage so this is fairly important to me...and it might help to save a few trees...

I upgraded to version 115.2.2 (64 bits), on a Windows 10 OS.

I used to be able to reduce the pane of the message list, so that I could expand the contents of a selected message. But now it has a lower limit, where I cannot push the line up further.

Attached is an image showing the line of concern. I could drag it down, but no further up. How could I change this behavior?

Thanks!

I had my userCrome.css set to widen line spacing in the message list, among other things. Updating to Þb 115 broke this, and since I can't inspect the css, I don't know how to fix this again.

My current css includes:

/* Message List */

  1. threadTree

treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text {

   font-size: 16pt !important;
   color: black !important

}

/* treechildren::-moz-tree-row {

   margin-top: 0pt !important;
   margin-bottom: 6pt !important;

} */

treecol:not([hideheader="true"]), treecolpicker:not([hideheader="true"]) { -moz-appearance: none !important; padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; }

treecol:not([hideheader="true"]):hover, treecolpicker:not([hideheader="true"]):hover { }

I tried relaxed density, but it expands *everything*, not just the message list.

Also, in Firefox, how can I use this site and avoid all the animated headers?

I use the userChrome.css file to take the search bar from the bottom of the screen and have it float. Here's the instruction that I use ... .browserContainer > findbar {-moz-box-ordinal-group: 0; position: fixed !important; }. Firefox 107 has made that .css instruction non-executable. If I text out the instruction I now get the search box at the bottom of the screen. I want it back to a floating search box. Is there a fix in 107 so I can use my .css file or is there another way to get the search box floating. Regards

Hello, While the display size is correct on my MacBook Pro 2021 screen is OK, it is huge and unusable on my second monitor (see images). My layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set at 2.5. If I set it at default (-1), the external monitor display is OK, but the internal monitor is so small that it is unreadable (to the extend that it was actually hard to figure out how to revert back to so I moved the window to the external monitor). This is a bug. There should be a setting per monitor or the default should follow the System Preferences setting for all monitors.

Please fix this quickly!

Thank you, Alain Damlamian p.s.: I tried to upload two pdf images but they were refused (why only accept jpg ?)

I know and admit I stuffed up.

One day a long time ago I was prompted for my master password.

When I clicked in that area/field a requester popped up asking me to pick a colour. Confused I picked one - and a bad one I now see.

So now when certain parts of a web page are opened the background colour is this horrible colour and I can't really read what is there.

I don't understand what I did or HOW I did it.

This is a cropped example of the bad contrast I am seeing.

As I said, I admit I stuffed up. But this seems to all have happened since that one time with the main password requester.
